drupa next age | More than a single image

Just 15 years ago people started to imagine that cameras in cell phones could potentially replace consumer or even professional cameras. Looking at today’s camera market we know that this has become reality. How is it possible that these small cameras are now able to deliver the same and sometimes even better image quality than regular consumer cameras? The answer is expressed in two simple words “computational photography”. The methods behind it are not simple at all. The talk will explain some of these methods and provide an overview of the current technology.
