Thanks.. very helpful. Was having a hard time finding a clear example of adding the sub-menu tabs.

Whoof!!! Managed to create my sub-menus perfectly now. I realised that if you add extra pages without configuring the Page Settings (Path) in each page, it won't show any sub-menus until each page is complete. For example, if I added 10 pages then I would have to add the Path into all 10 pages (and Save) before it displays the sub-menus ok. But fantastic Tutorial - going to complete the rest of it now to do with Headers and Permissions. Thanks Yaworsk1.

*Advise* While watching video 1 of this series, I quickly got lost when you started the part about filtering. You mentioned "tagging" photos and had a "Content: dog" filter that I did not have. I tinkered around for about an hour before I realized that you had added a custom field to the content type called "dog". I think this part is critical in the flow for the video series. Otherwise, Keep it up and let me know if I can help. PS what video recording SW do you use?

I watched the entire series on ubercart for my intro to drupal. I have used other CMS in the past. I enjoy your vids and hope you keep them up. Also, your website only contains video 1 of this series. Can you please UL to your site when you UL here. as a side note, it would be cool if you used VIEWS to sort your videos on the site, they are all mixed up! cont....

yup, could have done a lot of things. But when I dont have a lot of time, I'd rather just focus on recording the tutorial than spending my time trying to avoid minor annoyances.

Hi! Pete just asking again. What module did you use to create that kind of AUTO-SLIDER on your homepage? (I,ve been looking on your series but haven't found one.. maybe I got it overlooked) thanks!

Thanks for this tutorial.... anyway to move the views tab to the side navigation?
@yaworsk110 жыл бұрын
Sorry for my late reply - were you thinking of just having a link to the view in the sidebar navigation? If so, assuming that sidebar is your menu, you can just administer the menu and add a link to the view page there or from within views, just choose that menu in the menu set up...

Does anybody know if he has videos going over commonly used hooks? I think after I'm done learning about views, I'd like to learn about different hooks.

Hi Peter I've just added a grid view within a table View by using the Adding a Header and ticking Global:View area. Nice!!! Would you know how to add a title to a grid view. I've given the 'sub-view' a title but the title does not appear. Any idea if this is possible? Cheers Matthew

Hello, gr8 video. I tried it on Drupal 8 beta 12 and I experience that the sub-menu is not displayed with the bartik theme : - I mean the /dog-images/Susie will display the sub-menu - but the /dog-images won't display the sub-menu even though I 'linked" the tab-menu to the parent menu (aka dog-images).

Hi Yaworsk1 I created 5 sub-menu tabs to expriment with. But I find that when I first load the set of sub-menus, the output always defaults to the 2nd sub-menu in from the left. Its no big deal but would you know why that would be please. Kind Regards Matthew

You suggest putting PHP in the DB, this isn't great, it could easily be done in a template.
@yaworsk19 жыл бұрын
+Alex Borsody Yeah, you're right, never a good idea to have PHP in the DB.

Couldn't you have applied the updates before you made the videos. Just a small nit, but it is distracting and detracts from the focus of your discussion.
