Yes Recipes are universally available, any up to date Drupal site can take advantage. There are some good podcasts out there that go in depth about creating and using them.

I've been using Drupal since version 5, mostly without writing modules, and I'm very, very disappointed. You would have done better to invest in rewriting the documentation and the detailed presentation of certain modules, or even to invest in KZbin to make quality tutorials. Example Views allows you to do so much without coding, but the documentation is terribly lacking and the community only exists on private channels! I think that using this product will add to the complexity if you need a functionality that isn't covered. In the end, it will be a prison, and this product will be just as complex to develop as the Core.

Oh no, first i was looking so forward to the bright future it seemed that Drupal would have. But now that it's going to be built on React i'm out. Drupal already doesn't have the best code quality, but now this ugly JavaScript / HTML mix, i'm out. Going to need a new CMS. And he's also hoping to attract Javascript developers. Why? 99% of react developers are script kiddies who don't have a clue about real programming. Why not use Angular / TypeScript? Or just stay with PHP? This is so unbelievable bad. This is going to kill Drupal.

React has been used on the Drupal front-end for years - there's nothing new about that. It works well, but is part of the growing trend that website development is entirely led by 'creative' design and front-end gimmicks. Drupal used to be a CMS for Managing Structured Content, but it has progressively become a dump for unstructured wysiwyg content and visual layout. And then we have to migrate this content soup from multiple previous sites into a new 'shiny' one!

There are 3 people represented here. 2 of them, a male and a female on equal footing, arguably marketing is way more prestigious than a developer (seriously, developers are the trades people of the IT world), and the other, a female, is in a leadership position.
