i really think it's just all deconstructing social conditioning. westerners are taught from an early age to fear muslims. i always had respect for muslims but i still feared them. even after i started studying Islam i still felt the bias when it came to certain things, and i had to unlearn a lot of preconceived notions about the religion from how i was brought up to believe it's the opposite of what it is.
