The RN is not following the manufacturers directions on how to run a urinalysis. You MUST hit start BEFORE dipping the reagent dipstick in the urine. Consequently, the timing is all off on analyzing the individual pads of the stick - leading to inaccurate results being reported out. This video should be removed.

Correct. That's a critical step we teach to new operators. The reaction is occuring (untimed) while she waves the strip around, blots it etc

Why wear gloves? Just an abuse of the environment! The material needs to be brought to the glove manufacturing factory, they are made, packaged, transported, used, disposed of, every step another blow to the environment. Has a Dr or nurse ever been infected by doing urinalyis??

Urine can contain trace amounts of blood, even if it is not visible. Blood borne illnesses exist :)
