Oh yeah, perfect timing!! Just set up my Hunsaker and will do my first cook this weekend. Making 2 of your recipes. This one for sure and the Mississippi Pot Roast. Gonna be some good eats next week!!!

Very nice! I can’t wait to see. Cook the Mississippi roast at a lower temp than I did. I think 275° would be good.

So, did you ever make it?
@staceydenise55383 жыл бұрын
@@FOGOcharcoal OMG! Yes I did and it was FANTABULOUS!!🥰 I did use a flour/potato starch batter and the Hunsaker gets hot enough to 'air fry' the chicken, but with a smoked flavor. Yummy for my tummy. My Mississippi Pot Roast was so scrumptious!! 🤗 I really appreciate your channel and your cooking style.

The PBC is always a great choice to smoke food on. I’ve had one for about 2 1/2 year and haven’t used my egg or offset smoker in over a year. I will use them in the future, but just realize the other day it had been that long since I used my other smokers. I gotta try those dry brines!

I have to say, the food turned out unreal and it was easy as heck to use. I can understand why you like it so much!

I picked up a PBC on a garage sale site for $40. It needed some TLC and was missing the rebar and hooks. I got lucky and saved a little cash, but after cooking on it, I would pay every penny they ask brand new! It's just a awesome awesome smoker/grill. Stumbled across your channel looking for a little inspiration for some leg quarters today. Great video and family.. Thanks for the help 😀

Yes sir, they are great cookers! Thanks for the kind words. BTW, I love a good garage sale find.

Was looking for a way to cook my leg quarters in my Pitt Barrel cooker yesterday and this was the first video I viewed. Perfect KISS (keep it simple silly) guide. I saw how you hung them & heard your guesstimated time, that was all I needed to do my own thing. PERFECT fall off the bone, juicy deliciousness! Thanks for sharing.

Loved the video! What temp are you running the PBC at?
@CptnRon3023 жыл бұрын
Hey Bryan, I’m not sure what the temp was. They’re designed to burn between 275-300°. There’s not much adjustment to these babies.
@bmoorhead3 жыл бұрын
@@CptnRon302 I have done some research on the Pit Barrel and I am seeing that actual ranges run from 275 to 335. That is a much bigger range than I like, and not know the actual temp isn't something I feel comfortable with, unless there were a gauge on the cooker. I was just wondering. Love your videos brother.
@CptnRon3023 жыл бұрын
@@bmoorhead I was concerned about that as well but it seems to cook really evenly. That may be the first time I’ve ever cooked on a smoker/grill with no temp gauge
