Awesome ideas in this video series, thanks for sharing, I'm looking forward to implementing some of these techniques in my flower garden area in my backyard, thanks for sharing!

Love this discussion. I put a creekbed across my frontyard and no regrets. I do want to make one correction. Water doesn't reliably go downhill I found. I did line mine and found out if you don't seal right, under currents back up to get under the overlapped liner. Also, watch sands and crushed granite near the edge of the creek because it wicks up 🙂 You are awesome!

I mapped out where my water stands in the back yard last year and started working on it this past spring. Almost completed still working on plants and I added some seashells in my bed. And a craw dad has made a home beside it. Butterflies are always visiting it. I love it.

How do you keep weeds out and gophers out of your dry creek bed? I had the rock and grass, weeds and gophers dug and grew through it. It was major women power to dig all that up. My creek bed is used for drainage so it’s a creek bed is a must for me.

THANK YOU!!! Most informative, detailed explanation of the process. Most ppl don’t show, much less describe, any plantings. I’m starting one today & the starting point is the tricky thing. Added into the accidental crawfish river I made due to no gutters off my back patio. Now I’ve dug so deep, my roof posts are exposed & getting shaky plus the bottom step off the 1990s octogenarian upper deck corner sticks just over where the “Crawfish Riviera” starts. Lo & behold, the more digging uncovered a natural spring running directly to the janky chipped steps (which are sinking due to crawfish tunnels under the deck😖). HELP!!😩😉
