Hello. Thank you always for the good videos. I have a question. I'd like to hear what you think about the standard of tippets in the beginner's video about the idea of fluoroflex tippets sinking into water. Also, in the above video, do you recommend connecting the fluoroflex tippet to the mono reader? I'm learning a lot from your videos.

Hello Choii, when dry fly fishing, I typically like to stick to monofilament as it will ride higher on the water's surface. With that being said, I have fished flouroflex as well when I did not have any mono available, and the difference is barely noticeable if you have a larger fly. You will see your dry fly sinking with smaller flys but sometimes this is not a bad thing as it acts like a crippler or emerging pattern just below the water surface. Feel free to experiment with both to see what you prefer. Thanks for watching the video and let me know if you have any other questions.

It’s a very fine game, it is very hard not to immediately set the hook. I have learned to say the word in my head.. Mississippi… and then set the hook. But it is only moments of pause that is needed. I hope this helps.
