I don't know about over there but here in Australia we really use pesticides and if we do there organic only and we have to keep a meticulous log of every chemical we use if we slip up we can be fine heavily or even thrown in jail. Also compared to the old days there aren't many sultana growers around anymore even back in the old days everyone new everyone if you were found doing dodgy work you would get no business wouldn't even be able to sell your product as pig feed.

Here on our Vine yard we have some more machines to help us it's still fairly dirty job but year after year we get 5 Crown almost every time. only time I remember in recent years we didn't make 5 Crown was when we got flooded out didn't even get to make it to harvest we probably won't make 5 Crown this year most likely 3 or 4 we're getting dumped with an unusually large amount of rain this year.
