Yeah, like you I've set posts with that dry stuff but I wouldn't use it for floors or walls. Maybe the plastic container didn't let it dry right, either. I'd use regular concrete with rebar, mesh and some of that fiber additive for your shelter

Well, this is just a experiment. But either way I'm definitely going to use rebar reinforcement.

LOL If im not mistaken when you order concrete from a company you can ask them for fiberglass reinforcement. Its little strands of fiberglass added to the mix if im not mistaken.

You don't pour a regular slab into a plastic container, the dry pour method relies on water coming up from the ground, too, to cure properly. Cement poured in to secure post in the ground absorbs water from all the ground around it to cure. And yes, you messed with it too soon, whether poured wet or dry, concrete takes 28 days to cure to ~98% strength, and more recent developments indicate all concrete should be regularly soaked for at least a week but best a month, a process called "moist cure." But keep trying, it's a young science.

That's what's wrong. Poland Springs . . . Perrier, etc. Not just the generic, run-of-the-mill Wal-mart water! 😁 Marty, you are doing your usual great job -- and having fun at the same time!
