Thirty years later, I still can't remember all of their names. And don't get me started about THEIR children's names. 😂 Maybe that's why I didn't have any kids. 😁 Great job, Jeff! So hilarious.

@xzonia19 ай бұрын
@@kylorenthehusky2584 There is no evidence that only children are any less well-adjusted or successful than those with siblings, more or less lonely, or have other social issues comparatively. I watched a video the other day with a woman who said she had 7 siblings but grew up feeling lonely and alone because she wasn't like her siblings (different appearance and interests, but definitely related to them). You can grow up with siblings you love or ones you hate. You can have none and wish you did, or be happy being singular. It's really up to who your kid is fundamentally as a person, not their circumstances. I grew up with two siblings and I do love them, but I'd have been equally happy having grown up alone. I'm an introvert and don't miss having people around me when I'm alone. It's better to choose what is best for you and your partner/spouse, than to make the decision according to what you think your kid might prefer. Whatever you decide, show a kid love and kindness, and they'll probably grow up to say they had a happy childhood. :)

I have one sibling a sister . We are totally different. We are 19 months apart and we were close until about the ages of 4 and 5. After that we were both a lot like only children. Different likes, different friends, different personalities. We both might go to the skating rink when we were older but didn’t even see each other the whole time. I was mostly girly with a little bit of tomboy she was mostly tomboy with a little bit of girly. However nobody better hurt the other cause the one that wasn’t hurt would be right there to finish the bully. So there is good and bad in having a sibling. Also you said your child is 2. I raised 3 kids. 2-3 is the worst time. Use to call it the terrible Two’s and it’s real but they change. They are are just testing out things and you so they know how far they can go. It’s perfectly normal. Don’t let them get away with stuff at that age cause they are learning how far they can push you and themselves. They do it again in the teenage years. At 2 they are transitioning from a baby to child in the teens they are transitioning from a child to a young adult. It’s confusing for them but they don’t know why. So they act out. Show lots of love but make sure they know they are not the boss! You can only do that by sticking to punishments (whatever your choice is) I did go to your room but I didn’t allow TV’s or video games in their rooms. They could have books and a few of their toys in there when you say no that you mean it. Bedrooms are meant for sleeping. In my personal opinion. None of my kids have insomnia I claim this to be the reason probably not but I like to claim it anyway 😂! I don’t have a TV, Phone, or computer in my bedroom now. We had a den so the kids things were in the den. They had it all too! Adults used the living room. The kids did homework at the kitchen table until high school. Then they got a desk in their room.

@@Saintly2 I personally didn't feel particularly lonely as I learnt to entertain myself without needing someone else. I only had two friends too. Maybe that's just me being an introvert? I do think that's one of the positives of being an only child with one parent - you learn how to be by yourself and keep yourself company. The downside is when your emotional needs aren't being met because your parents aren't emotionally available or simply are absent. On the other hand, I have a cousin who has always been very extroverted and who is also an only child (his parents are still together though). He would say "I'm bored!" out loud, which I never understood. How can you ever be bored? He had a lot of toys, consoles - you name it - and even with all that he would proclaim how bored and lonely he was 😂

All I could think was, "Never get into a car with strangers", so I told them, "I know where I live" and walked away. About half a block later enough shock wore off for the pain to hit. Took more than a year to recover. Never did see a doctor.

That’s crazy. My younger brother got ran over (literally) by a pickup while riding his bike a few years ago. His bike was twisted in half, so we were all confused how he came out with minimum injury. The driver panicked and took off. A city bus driver that saw what happened followed him into a dead end street and made him come back to the scene, which was full of cops by then. The driver was a 21 year old kid who then got hit with reckless endangerment, hit and run, and a few other charges. We took the bike to a local bike shop to get an estimate for insurance and upon seeing the bike and hearing what happened, his first question is “is your brother still alive?” He couldn’t believe so much damage could be caused to the bike and the person on it possibly survived
