Some of the dies are made thinner than the sizzix ones, so you may need a shim, like an extra piece or two of thin card stock added to your sizzix sandwich. I have one thin die that won’t cut part of it and it’s really frustrating. I love this idea, and I wonder if it will work with Kleenex/tissues. Thanks Karen ☺️💜

Hi! Felt so bad when you just flicked that beautiful die aside. Others have given solutions to the cutting problem, but I wanted to let you know that that die is supposed to work either on the edge of a card, or at the fold. I've watched several videos from Crafters Companion and they show the gorgeous cards they make with those dies. Please don't give up on it. You will love it! Forgot about the dryer sheet solution for intricate dies, so thanks for reminding me. 💜

Hello, I have a question.... Have you, since this video, decided to take a little lazy day and try cutting and dryer all at once and if so how did it work for you. I typically shy away from intricate dies because of all the poking that needs to be done but if this works all at once I may get some intricates. I have arthritis and I don't like winding the crank on my BigShot too much in one day. Thank-you for sharing this hack, it is pretty cool. Have a lovely day!!! AMB...Rose

Hi Rose, lazy days are great! Yes, I tries intricate dies and it works great! I did it with four dryer sheets folded in half for the very intricate one and I love it. Let me know how it works out for you I'd you try it.💕

Dumb question.....do the dryer sheets need to be unused? I mean, do they need to have that sticky film on them? I tried with used and they did not work.

I should have finished watching before I commented, but on the one that didn't cut - you can use a thin metal shim (I got mine from Papertrey Ink) that for me anyway works every time for those hard to cut dies. Hope that helps.

One that did not cut at end put through machine with foam behind it or packing thin foam or extra paper! Will cut then!

Update....after using the die and using the dryer sheet on it i can cut with it about 8 times without needing the dryer sheets, everything just pops outs... it's great!!!
