I changed my own zip in an old second hand ebay suit, I did it by making a plywood jig which fitted inside the suit, it worked great, I think this is the way they do it professionally

Thanks for sharing, thanks to this video I'm in the process of doing a zipper on a Nokia suit. OK its been a few years since this video. How was your repair? Did it hold up and not leak?
@PolarTechnical2 жыл бұрын
Hi Terry, it held very well. No leaks.

@@PolarTechnical do you remember if you sanded the new zip prior to glue or only the suit?
@PolarTechnical2 жыл бұрын
@@terrythompson3563 I gave the zipper a quick rough-up with some light-grit sand paper.

Hi there, good video, can you tell me where you heave orderd your zipper. Do you have a link to this supplyer. Because its very expensive to buy here in Holland. Kind regards Peter

Hi Peter. Zippers are expensive everywhere. :-( That one was especially long so it was difficult to find. I think I ordered it from China through Alibaba.

Lately, it's almost cheaper to order a new drysuit rather than replace all the seals and zipper. SeaSkin has good prices. seaskin.co.uk/product/seaskin-nova-membrane-diving-drysuit/#suit-and-stitching-colour

350 USD for dry zipper? Is it made of some kind of gold? A regular dryzipper shouldn't be more expensive than 100-150 USD What is that?
