I like to play a copy of Necrovalley. Only if you are guaranteed to go 1st. Hold the Nu 2/Nova and burn your other Drytron names first to play around hand traps. Resolve Diviner and search Batosbuster. Use Nova for Nu 2 and search Ursatron Alpha. Summon Ursatron Alpha and search for Fafnir. Use Fafnir to search Meteonis (ritual spell). Use LV 6 Diviner and Nu 2 to make AFD. AFD can pop Fafnir to search Necrovalley which kills every meta deck right now. Summon Batosbuster with Meteonis using Ursatron. When your turn comes back around AFD can pop Necrovalley to search the second Fafnir and you should be able to OTK.

Just as an FYI at bigger events they are gonna tell you to change those sleeves. Supposedly, there have been people that have had seizures because of this. Id love to use mine (i have the qcr ones and the shatterfoil) but at 2 ycs's been told to change them (one from extra deck, one for a token)

Ive been through 2 yugioh phases. First was BLS > lightsworn > chaos thunderdragon then gotta a whole buncha decks (invoked shaddoll, buster blader eldlich, inspector boarder eldlich, buncha other degenerate stun decks, etc. I love floodgates lol). Then i relapsed on H and sold all my cards THEN got into drytron. Had a max rarity drytron deck and did everything with it. Vanity ruler/magikey, turn skip with amorphactor, scythe lock (halq and DPE), dragoon w/ ultimateness, sooooo many other things. Ive been missing yugioh lately tbh so im glad to see youre still going strong with drytron and its cool that theres support now for it. I ran into more trouble (booze, H, xans, etc) and sold the all my cards for a 2nd time but i really wanna get back into it. Same time tho yugioh community is kinda mean and Im pretty content playing pokemon on smogon. Its a very wholesome and welcoming community. The thing is tho, since I always felt like an outcast playing yugioh (buncha creeps at locals simping over my gf at the time and being weird and gross af) it did make me mad which made me practice and playtest and spend an insane amount of time deck building, trying literally everything I could with drytron back in 2022) that way if it didnt work I knew why it didnt work. Meanwhile i suck at pokemon outside of gen 3 OU (which im still meh) Idk, sorry for rambling just glad youre still doing this. Sad theres no more dragoon, dpe, herald of ultimateness, amorphactor/gryphon but vanity ruler is still here. Im always attracted to decks that use old monsters/mechanics and retrains. Loved how i could use chaos valkyrie (dunames dark witch), vanitys ruler, dragoon (DM/REBD), rituals, cyber angel, the herald cards, etc etc. The bystials or however theyre spelled also was a factor in selling the deck. Kinda killed the fun of it overnight. Once again, sorry for rambling, but yea might get back into it because of you. Thanks G.

If you're not playing around handtraps, then grab field spell with Ursatron, then grab Nova with the field spell. This way you end with the ability to mess with monster levels. May not seem like much, but always handy if you find yourself up against kashtira or sprite, or just need to screw up a synchro/xyz play. And, you get it for free, so why not

I like the deck now, feels more open to try different variants .However, I would like to see how is it good going second against the Snake Eye/Yubel with Fiendsmith decks that are all over the place. What should be the patterns or how to avoid the Princess when trying to go for Zeus or something like that. Cheers!

My main deck ritual package is 2 benten, 2 dad, draconids and magikey. 3rd benten and Natasha are in the side because i haven't convinced myself that i can live without, but i dont really want the clogginess...ive already bricked on rituals before nu 2, now we cant even summon half of them lol but the consistency boost is WELL worth it imo. Still playing one prep though, basically the 3rd Benten OR magikey

I've been trying playing without Natasha and with only 1 benten (as a bridge to diviner) in favor of nu and a larger pure engine. Going second you try to use your engine gas to make dad to help you play through the board, and can potentially summon draconoids too for OTK. If damage isn't enough, you can still have a solid board for turn 3. Not sure yet if it's better than still keeping the full fairy package in and choosing whether to use it depending on the situation, but just experimenting to see how far you can go with a consistent pure engine.

in my findings so far, it feels so wrong to not play minimum 10 non-engine cards, even if we have to go over 40. you just suffer too much if you don't open 2 nonengine 4 engine go 2nd. I do count instant fusion though to it.

Is it viable yo use archlord kristya instead of vanity's ruler? I mean because one might as well extend with diviner but that would use the normal summon, so you could end with 4 faeries (2 benten, herald of arclight and diviner) in gy, search krystia with benten and end with potentially krystia, dragster + Big DAD/fafnir Am i trippin or is it actually viable?

This is 2022 knowledge but I could never make kristya work even back when drytron was fairy heavy. Too circumstantial, vanitys always worked way better. Didnt have to do 4D chess moves and count fairies in the grave. Havent played since 2022 tho so idk anything anymore but I did spend a lot of time trying to make it work since i thought the card looked cool lol just never worked for me. Games way different now tho so idk shit tbh. Just throwing that out there.

I've been A/B-ing the old build vs the Nu build, and although Nu himself is super powerful, I find myself missing guaranteed access to followup (via tributing Benten for Vanity's), Natasha with plenty of fuel always on tap and of course Beatrice (lest we forget). That, and all those new techs eat into our precious non-engine space. Sometimes a Vanity's and a Fucho is all you need to put the opponent in a chokehold, after all if they let us get to turn 3, its over, Vanity's or not. A big fancy board is nice, but we were already doing broken unfair BS beforehand. The Nu restriction really blows. It's so unfortunate

I feel that the biggest benefit of running Nu + Ursatron is to play better through handtraps / interruptions. You can have nasty end boads both with and without it, but I really like the consistency boost it gives. The card is finally as good of a name as Alpha / Zeta, you would always rather see it in your hand as a 3rd name instead of Delta / Gamma, except it can also work independently in both 2 and 1 card combos. There are also many possible variants of the deck that need testing. For example, pure drytron engine, vanity's, secret village, secret village + jowgen, with or without natasha, etc... Lots to work with here.
