DRZ400E - WR450F - KLR650 Adventure Ride

Three random bikes and three random dudes get together for an exploration of the Hampton and Jenolan State Forests in NSW Australia. This was an adventure ride, enduro ride and at times just getting stuck on hills ride all rolled into one. This motorbike ride is another awesome example of how random people, with random bikes can meet up for the first time and support each other through a great days worth of riding. Enjoy.

Great video Lance,very enjoyable.Always more fun with company.I've just bought a little XT250 to have some off-road fun and I ride with more experienced riders who are very patient with an old busted up bloke,(I'm70).Must admit those steep rocky trails are my nemesis at the moment,scare the crap out of me,you are doing well to tackle them.

Great vid and good banter as well! Group rides can be boat-loads of fun...different machines, different skills and the luck too tend to rotate 😁 I believe the WRX has better suspension setup from the factory itself and coupled with efi linked power delivery, it's the machine with a clear advantage. Especially in the hands of a skilled rider. The other key factor would be the weight of the riders and the tyres.

Absolutely. I always say the DRZ isn’t the best at anything but it’s good at everything. The WR was in its element with this ride. It’s suspension just ate up the terrain. Plus Will was on steroids. Lol.

Cast parts are strong until they're not, that pretty much goes for anything cast, motorcycle foot pegs, car suspension knuckles the list goes on, all extremely strong until they're not

Mate no idea. I generally just go half way in all settings. I never really touch them.

Hay mate some snotty hills , maybe 🤔 old mate on the KLR should of been briefed on conditions , ( as in his riding experience, bike and basically using mostly road tyres ) iv run a load of rides over the years and if it’s going to be snotty I don’t take less experienced riders ( or give them another easier way to go ) . Anyway we all live and learn mate 👍

Yeah he was well aware. Just young and keen to try anything which is awesome. There were tracks he took at times as an easy route to the hills. He loved it, problem is I never really know how the ride is going to pan out.

@@The_Apprentice_Adventurer , I was also going to say if less experience riders want to jump in and give it a go “ You cannot say you didn’t warn them 😂😂😂” or don’t know what’s ahead. I warmed a few people over the years some listen some not , a broken legs , ribs etc is their school of learning 😂😂😂. BUT I’m all in for young fellas giving it a crack - they bounce better 😂. I seen a 34 year old mostly new to off road riding that came on a Flinders Ranges trip last year on his GS 800 basically destroyed his bike in 7 days with multiple offs and last day he couldn’t ride . But he gave it a crack .
