Everyone at Collinwood now believes that Will will soon be leaving town. Meanwhile, Willie Loomis attempts to open the tomb of Naomi Collins, hoping to find some of her jewelry buried with her. He finds a secret room. Inside it, he finds a coffin.

This is when the show begins to go from good to REALLY good. And what's amazing is that it's not just Barnabas, it's the combination of Barnabas to the rest of the cast, which we all know by now, assuming we watched those previous 209 episodes. By now we know the town so well, and all its people. And it's the combination of Barnabas to this background of other people that makes DS so special.

Again, my pleasure. Like I mentioned, I am currently looking for a place that I can post more episodes, but it is looking pretty grim. :? I cant upload 211+ due to copyright issues here on KZbin and I fear they will shut down my whole channel. I posted a link to an active torrent that has the whole series above. If I remember correctly, I am pretty sure this is the same torrent I used to get these videos. I opened the files and checked the info and it's exactly worded and structured like the torrent I used. Anyways, thanks again for your support and comments! ... also, did you try the Hulu link I posted? Hulu is annoying. I watched until the end of the 1795 story line then it abruptly ended and they have not uploaded anymore. I would be so thrilled to see the other story lines that I haven't seen since SciFi channel cancelled the series. I did not see the link on 210 so I'll go back and check it out. Thanks! :)

I love how in the last scene,where Willie " meets" Barnabas, Willie is too scared to let out a scream. Very powerful. Many directors would have said to scream bloody murder.

Should have put some dust in there, but then I understand this would not be good for all those lights and cameras on the set if it got blown the wrong way. That's a powerful scene though. The caskets within the mausoleum were different from what was later seen. Joshua Collins' casket was where little Sarah Collins' was in the later episodes.

Vicky was written out of the show because her character bore very little relevance once the supernatural theme really took off. The characters of Barnabas, Angelique, Julia, Nicholas, and so on proved too dynamic and overwhelming. Vicky and Burke were meant for the original format of the show, that being a regular soap opera as opposed to a Gothic horror cult classic. That is why were both given their walking papers.

I heard Burke (Mitch) say in an interview that he had a bad drinking problem and Dan Curtis fired him for showing up unable to remember his lines. I agree that my little Vickie was just too innocent, but I will always love her.

C.B.R. Funny how Mitchell is still going strong at 88. The character of Burke was already in serious decline after he reconciled with the Collins family (I mean, the audience wanted to see his old vengeful and mean spirited self), and especially after Barnabas came on to the scene, and fell in love with Vicky (Collinsport was not big enough for both men, and let's face it, vampires always win out in the charisma department). I truly think Mitchell would have left anyway, for like Alexandra, he did not appreciate seeing his character so diminished. Anthony George did nothing to save the character, as he was too soft spoken and wishy-washy. Alas, it was only a matter of time for both Burke and Vicky, but how ironic that they arrived in Collinsport together in Episode 1, and were pretty much intended to be the stars of the show.

I started to download but my McAfee told me they found something wrong and not to dl. I havent had the time to look into it more. Currently, episodes 899 to 1062 and 1221 to 1244 are up, along with the 2 movies. Please grab these as soon as you can. You will need a lot of space on your computer to get all of these files. In the later episodes, Sarah's coffin was where Joshua's is in this episode, to the left of Naomi. Joshua was later to the right of Naomi. Also, the birth and death dates would need to be changed. Naomi did not die in 1821, she died in 1795 when she poisoned herself after finding out that Barnabas was a vampire.

Holly B That is true, although he could have just said that she died naturally in 1795. One other thing I find difficult to understand is the huge age difference between Barnabas and Sarah, even though they were siblings. In the 1795 sequence, Barnabas is tagged as being only slightly younger than his uncle Jeremiah, and the latter was 32 when Barnabas shot him in the duel. In that case, Barnabas would only have been about 30 or 31. (Okay, Sarah was 10 or 11 when she died, so a 20 year difference between siblings is understandable). But when Barnabas was resurrected nearly 200 years later, he was clearly older than 30 or 31, and in fact, it was implied that he was way too old for Maggie or Vicky. In the end, he more or less hooked up with the much older Julia, who was obviously closer to his own "age". I suppose all those years in the coffin "aged" him a bit?

Not a question of copyright, a question of perceived demand.The show became a hit when Barnabas came on, so the owners are more protective of 210 and on. They don't mind using the early episodes as bait.

Back in the 90's the Sci-F- Channel ran the entire series, 2 episodes per day and I watched them all. In the beginning, the series was just like any other soap opera....boring as hell. There were no stories of the supernatural at all....until a gentleman by the name of Barnabas Collins was introduced.

Thank you, especially for the files being small.. the B&W episodes don't need Hi def to enjoy, I wish I had found them earlier, I just wanted to thank you for the effort you made in posting them! I remember the series from when I was younger, I just never remembered Barnabas being such a creep as he is. Excellent actor, Jonathon is. Since they never reran it even once, I can't understand how anyone even remembers the series enough to lay out big bucks for the whole bit nowadays. There's a lot of expired junker series being marketed on "boxes" that are available for free to watch online. Since DS is also available on Hulu for free (but not in my country) I assumed it was another of those, but I remembered the series wrong. It's far creepier than I remembered. PS Merry Christmas!

I did have to download a different video player than what's loaded on the computer due to the format the files are loaded as. I just didn't see the arrow at the link you provided to load the others.
