This is the first video in a series that goes with the data science bootcamp I offer students FOR FREE at the Community College of Aurora. The bootcamp is meant to take you from never having used Python and knowing very little statistics to being able to approach your own independent data science and machine learning projects.
Videos will be delivered weekly, at the same pace as the in-person program. Each week will have one video and a mini-project to practice what you've learned. The topics, subjects, and mini-projects are the same online as they in-person.
This week has two videos! This one is an intro to Python and the other is an intro to SQL. It starts with installing Python using the Conda distribution, as well as Anaconda Navigator, setting up a Github account, and downloading PyCharm Community Edition. Then we install a few packages and then we learn how to use Python. There will be a lot more Python practice throughout the series.
