Shiny with a bit of heft, and it's been well polished 👍

Nice shave 👍🏻, Lother is a great base, and I find an indestructible bowl works best for me…. I totally agree about supporting artisan and makers, but for people on a lower budget, the Chinese stuff is hard to pass up. The “timeless” top cap is very similar to my ds cosmetics S9 (razorock .84), which shaves like a dream.

Ta 👍 I get the cost bit, but sometimes it's the details, like the quality of the engraving on base plates etc that some of the Chinese stuff lacks IMHO and brass top caps are sooo much better 🙃 👍

Nice shave. I tried Løthur for the first time last summer and I find it a really nice base and I like that the ingredient list is small. I agree that supporting artisan’s is really important but I admit that some of them are getting a bit ridiculous with their prices. I’ve seen so many razors lately, SS and Ti, selling for 500 to 1000 US dollars.

Thanks Lewis 👍 there's a small amount of retailers producing really high end gear, and the material costs alone must be high. Add production costs to that and people still need to feed themselves and their family. IMHO, the higher the price, the more niche the market for the product becomes; take something like the Pils razor, a quality product that comes at a fairly high price, but there are other items 2 - 3 times the price on the market 👍
