This run was done sometime before August 2020 considering there was talk about "upcoming" Remnant: From the Ashes DLC in August. Which was the second DLC which indeed came out in August 2020. And the mentioning of Elden Ring news possibly in September as though it wasn't that long aways off (obviously to this day all we have are the leaked "classified" promotional videos). Again can we have the date of these streams added in the video description so to throw people off less?

@@distortion2 oh hai dist! Yeah I know this stuff isn't like 4 years old or whatever, but a lot can happen in just under a year. I'm coming from the perspective of seeing a lot of comments acting like these were done within the last few days, like on your Last of Us 2 playthroughs a lot of people are like "glad you're giving this game a chance, hope you love it as much as I did!" Not aware that your opinion was summarized a while ago already in your "Good Ending" "speedrun" haha. Or even here where some are like "good to see you doing DS2 runs again!" when I believe you said not long ago you were burned out by the game and weren't going to play it again anytime soon? Also a part of watching these runs is listening to you talk/converse with chat about current topics or things you're doing and when some things talked about start to sound a bit out of date (another thing is talking about the "upcoming" Mortal Shell later in the video which you've played and speedrun to death already a long time ago)... ...well I've gone on long enough but assuming you have the dates when these were streamed it'd be nice to know for extra context when these were done. That's all, happy streaming and speedrunning!

Scholar does some things worse than regular DS2 (the areas with actual unnecessarily added enemies, like more explosive corrosive enemies in Dragon Aerie), a lot of things better and some things neither better nor worse than the other game. A lot of enemy placement and/or behavior is improved I think, and items that used to have an impossible drop rate are actually acquirable. Shadows are much improved, like dark areas are actually dark now and lighting sconces or a torch looks much better. Dragon Shrine's mechanic is pretty cool too. Instead of just an annoying enemy gauntlet you do one at a time as a "test" of your worthiness (and skipping ahead like a coward/speedrunner gets you whaled on by a bunch of dragon dudes). And the DLCs are unchanged (besides the methods of accessing them) except for the improvement to frozen deer hell. You get an additional NPC summon and the calm between blizzards last longer giving you more time to get to shelter/a place to hide. I can get why he finds it more annoying to speedrun with some of its additions and changes (Forlorn), but as a game to play by itself I slightly prefer it to vanilla.

Ohhhh shiieet, didn't even notice til you pointed it out. There was another run he uploaded not that long ago (one of his Champion's Ashes runs I think?) where he missed Old Demon King (or was that a BB run where he forgot Vicar Amelia? Both? Any case for the all-boss runs even if they're just "meme" runs he should keep a catalog or checklist of boss names somewhere on screen so he doesn't miss any!)

That's a thing with every long video or stream upload I've watched. At least the first day it's uploaded. If I don't manage to finish watching the whole thing in one sitting I return to it the next day and then the ads are more spread out. It does look weird yeah when the ads are all so front-loaded on hours-long videos (it could be the ad algorithm or whatever it is being slow in processing the video length and repositioning the next day once it's figured it out)
