DualSense
The DualSense (CFI-ZCT1W) is the PlayStation 5's controller and was unveiled on April 7, 2020. It is based on the DualShock 4 controller that came before it but with an evolution to its design and capabilities influenced by discussions with game designers and players.
There are several differences in the DualSense that sets it apart from previous DualShock controllers:
The DualSense supports vibrotactile haptic provided by voice coil actuators integrated in the palm grips, and force feedback for the Adaptive Triggers provided by two DC rotary motors.[58] The actuators in the hand grip able to give varied and intuitive feedback about in-game actions for example, in a sandstorm, you can feel the wind and sand, and the motors in the Adaptive Triggers supporting experiences such as virtually drawing an arrow from a bow.
The DualSense has a two-tone coloring scheme (primarily white with black facing) and monochrome action buttons, marking the first time the action buttons for a standard PlayStation controller are not colored, although Sony's handheld consoles, the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation Portable, both had monochrome buttons. It incorporates a more ergonomic design that is noticeably bigger, rounder, and heftier than the DualShock 4.[59] The light bar has been moved from the top of the controller to the horizontal edges of the touchpad, with player number instead being indicated by an array of 5 LEDs below the touchpad. The "Share" button has been replaced with "Create" with an expanded focus on creating content to share with others.[60]
The controller speaker has been improved, now providing a clearer sound. The controller now also features a dual-microphone array, allowing players to communicate with each-other without requiring the use of an external headset.

Hey @shfd3832 ! Yes for Spider-Man you need to switch off DS4Windows and plug in via usb to get all the functionality of the DualSense.

absolutely fantastic, it was the only method to succeed, after dozens of attempts, and that with an extension, having a 5m usb cable, attached with an extension. to be able to play dying light the first version 1.2, where it is possible to find golden weapons, in chests. you are the best!

Hey @shaz7594! If you are switching back and forth it’s a bit of a pain you need to re pair to the console again by holding down the pairing buttons.

Thank you! Fooled with this all day for my PS5 controller-- turns out I was missing the DS4Windows Device Options -> DualSense Controller Support checkbox. Works fine with Steam running and Playstation Controller Support enabled. Steam settings have changed since this video released, and this checkbox is available Steam -> Settings -> Controller without going into Big Picture Mode. It should not be this difficult to use a controller with Epic Games Store games!

God bless you brother. the thing that worked for me was, having the controller unplugged, just going to settings, device options, check the box “on” that says “dual sense support” x the window out, go to “controllers” hit “stop” and then “start” and it should appear once u plug the controller in with usb

Hey Rico! Maybe make sure the .net is installed correctly or install the sdk version. Also worth trying version 3.2.3 of DS4Windows if it still not working. Before you do all of that you can make the window pop up by going into settings > under “utils” there’s a “Controller/Driver Setup” which brings up the driver install window. Usually this window pops up for first installs so nit sure why yours did not 🤷‍♂️

Thank you for making this video. It is the only thing that worked. The one thing I did find "confusing" was when I first installed it, it was saying it was an "xbox360" in the profile info. had to create a new profile for a PS4 controller. Then it worked for me. The only thing it seems I can't do is change the camera from 1st to 3rd person with the touchpad anymore (like the PS5). Have to use the "V" keyboard command. but as of right now....THIS IS THE ONLY THING THAT WORKED...so THANK YOUUUUUUUUU! Appreciate the vid!
