The armour packages add on should be increasing its weight,but when i google it,it still says 62.5 ton.or am i wrong?

Since it's a A4 upgrade, are the internal special armor arrays updated? Or only addon? Does somebody know? That was the problem with the Leopard 2PL, they only slapped 4th gen addon on, the internal arrays were still 1979 armor. The turret 'weakspot' on the A4 (gunners sight) as some call it actually isn't since the same amount of internal armor is simply moved behind the optic. However if this internal armor hasn't been upgraded it's a *huge* weakspot, only protected by 1979 armor while the rest of the turret has 1979 armor + 4th gen addon.

Leopard 2PL upgrade contract had those internal armor arrays figured out. Yet, next Polish gov. MOD made the contract once again. No idea why. Still, the second contract came out 90% the same but without pointing the inserts of the main armor modernized. Hence the issues between both sides. Polish MOD tries to figure it out until this day with no actual effect in any vehicles coming back to service in the Polish Army. MBT Revolution program addressed the turret main weak spot as the gunner sight been moved the way hitting it will not affect the crew compartment. The hull ammunition storage problem has been revised as well. As far as I know, Polish MBT Leopard 2PL has no additional hull protection.

A tak jesteśmy w czarnej dupie z biedną wersją 2a4pl i starym kadłubem, w cenie Revolution czy 2a7v? Taka to oszczędność Polska. Co najwyżej pomyślał bym o kupnie od Hiszpani 2a4e czy norweskich 2a4n i modernizacji ich do Revolution czy 2a7v, skoro nie modernizujemy t72 do standartu pt16 a pt91twardy do pt17. Nowe czołgi czy to Leo3 czy jankeskie nie będą wcześniej jak 2035 roku a k2pl jakieś 15 do 20 lat? To jaka jest alternatywa czołgi Abrams które kosztują astronomiczne pieniądze nie mówię już o logistyce czy szkoleniach itd.? Pozdrawiam

These expensive 60 tons MBT are dinosaur of modern warfare. Tanks these days need to be fast, nimble, and precision so they can function in urban area. In open field they wouldn't survive without air superiority, and when you have air superiority these mammoths become useless anyway.

It's Revolution. Evolution is from IBD, Revlution (now 'ATD') is from Rheinmetall.

Evolution was the first iteration, Revolution was the second, this is the technology demonstrator which is a further development of the revolution(main difference is the aps and L55 gun)
