great video, one other big differere is the TG6 says Olympus on it , i gave my TG5 to my daughter, and bought myself the TG6 for this reason, to those who are on the market for the fist time for a tough camera, i would say, buy the OM TG7 if you can afford it, if not get the Olympus TG 6 and save some cash for accessories . Not sure this is still the case, but i read somewhere in the fine print that for the guarantee to be valid the camera should be sent in to have new rubber seals fitted, (how often , i cant remember) so maybe the newer TG7 might be better option, as well as TG6 2019 chips and motherboards, TG7 2023 hopefully newer parts ? hope this helps.

I don't know for certain but because the only real difference is the USB B to USB C, I'm betting this new model is just to comply with the EU's requirement everything use USB C.

More than likely as it's brought into law in the EU, so they've done the bare minimum. HUGELY disappointed. Whilst it's a good little camera, the chip is way too small and you get too much higher ISO noise, the apertures and zoom too limiting on quality, and the WiFi mode on this thing is poor and slow to upload, I wished other brand compacts with better image systems were tough and waterproof like this one and I'd buy one instead, but they're not so this one gets the nod for versatility, but what they've done here in more than two years since the TG6 is nothing short of a joke.
