My uncle was Rhodesian Police & sometimes went on Ops with the RLI, RAR, Selous etc. He moved back to the UK in early 1980's as it wasn't safe to stay once Mugabe took over. Remember him years ago showing me an AK-47 bayonet he'd took off a bad guy he'd slotted. Also stories of RPG's being fired at his Vic that missed - allegedly the bad guys were so dim & badly trained, they always set the sights to max range, so usually missed high. Is this mission based on any particular Operation from that time ?

Optics package limitations, coupled with not wanting to have horrible performance by bumping up our view distance, meant that we had to fly quite close to our infantry to be able to effectively support them. We were also attacking targets of opportunity, and targets given to us by those on the ground pretty regularly.
