I love the way this gets such awesome tones and feel and you never once had to touch the eq. Perfect device for anyone just needing an amp for their pedals...but its more versatile than my amp. 😊

Major improvement. I sold my Mk 1. Didn't take much to clip that loop and it sounded so much more "DI" than what I'm hearing here.

Wonderful playing and tone! How does it compare to the DLX in terms of sound, usable headroom and pedal friendliness. I saw you reviewed both, and I own the DLX, which is very nice, but I am considering replacing it with the MK II to "simplify" my rig evenmore as the dual channel and too many knobs of the DLX are not very useful to me.

If this thing had 4 foot switches, it would be relevant. Its design is outdated for a gigging solution.

Couldn't agree less. But then again, I guess it depends on one's needs. I'm probably about 50 gigs in with mine. It lives on my pedalboard, which I fly with pretty frequently. I get super consistent sound show to show without ever having to backline or fly with a guitar amp. Which saves me money and a lot of frustration. It also keeps my stage volume lower, which makes everything easier on our front of house and monitor engineer. It's also for recording, and at-home practice with headphones. In short, it's a great gigging solution for me, and honestly I couldn't be happier.

The Simplifier series is so misunderstood when people compare it to multifx digital modelers. This is for people who don’t want that. This is for people who want to bring their amps to a gig but don’t want to bring their amp to a gig. Practically speaking, this is the amp. Except it fits on your pedalboard and has a DI out. Your tube amp doesn’t need 4 footswitches and neither does this.

I think it’s more a ‘set and forget’ amp. Drive pedals and tuner before it, delay in the loop and xlr to your FRFR or direct to FoH. I’d say it’s perfect for a simple and consistent gigging set up.
