Thanks for the video. I have a question. If the tap resistor burns out, is it possible to change it?
@DSmartLife4 жыл бұрын
I don't think it is possible to change the heating element. However this particular water heater has several inbuilt protection. So it may be unlikely that it may burn out easily. Thanks.

Hi, I've just installed this water heater and it is good for the water temp in my area. However, the printed current rating of this water heater is no joke (3000w). I find that questionable though, because the provided protection power plug is rated at only 10 amps @220v: 2200w (printed on the socket head). I myself don't have current draw reader like the one you have. Is it possible for you to find out what is the real current draw of this heater?
@DSmartLife4 жыл бұрын
The heater consumes 12.9A at 240V AC. Yes the device that they have included is rated at 10A and has Chinese plug that needs an adapter. So I do not use it. I use a local plug with 16A rating. I also recommend you to do the same. Do not use any plus converter/adapter for such high power devices. You can use this guide kzbin.info/www/bejne/fGq7cqugndmJhM0 to convert it to your local plug type. Thanks.

Hi, thank for the very insightful reply given. I was actually referring to the original RCD socket head that is rated at 10 amps @220v, not the supplied adaptor for china to eur, which i dont get anyway.
@DSmartLife4 жыл бұрын
Yes, I also meant the RCD. I can't recommend using it as it's rated only at 10A and moreover it needs an adapter. I think you better install a EU plug like I did. And I guess most homes and bathrooms have RCD built in. So I think it's fine. Thanks.

Can you connect a garden hose to the hot water outlet?
@DSmartLife4 жыл бұрын
I think you can try connecting using one of the adapters provided with the heater. But I haven't tried it myself, so I am not completely sure. It also depends on the type of your hose and connector type.

It is suddenly stopped, can i reset it or what?
@jaysand084 жыл бұрын
Bro my water heater suddenly stopped working. I tried with the help of your video such as cleaning the outlets for bockage... and looking for the reset switch, pressure switch etc., but everything was fine but when I switch to hot water there is no display and also i get only the normal water from the hot water outlet. Can you please help me.
@DSmartLife4 жыл бұрын
Did you check if the power is present in the heater? If the protection device present in the power plug trips then it will not work. Please check the power first and let me know. Thanks.

bro i have a query, we have similar kind of instant geyser but it lacks thermostat. The problem is that we cannot control the temperature like constant heat at 30-35C, The minimum heat we got from our instant heater is 60-68C which is very hot if you need to wash your hand. Now coming to Xiaomi instant water I thought I will find some kind of thermostat in your teardown video but there is no such. So how does it give hot water between 30-50C(written in the description on banggood) only? Can you help me with this?? Mine heater is also good just cannot find anyway to control the temperature.
@DSmartLife4 жыл бұрын
Yes. Usually tap based instant water heaters are not equipped with a thermostat. This is related to water's high specific heat requirement (energy required to raise the temp). In these heaters, the water flow rate is the heat control. The lower the flow rate higher the temp and give versa. The usual heaters are only 3kw and it can raise only 30C heat, at normal flow rates. So either your input water temp is already very high or your flow rate is too less. Or your heater is very high power. In the Xiaomi heater case, as you see in my review kzbin.info/www/bejne/naHFeYRnZshgbLs I can get only 43C at low flow rate with around 7C input water. Please check your flow rate, if you can increase it. I hope this info is useful. Thanks.

@@DSmartLife yeah exactly maybe my case that flow rate is very less. So is there any possibility to add any thermostat to get a max 30C temperature ??
@DSmartLife4 жыл бұрын
@@Sarfrozkhan It could be a DIY project to add a thermostat. May be a temp sensor and a microcontroller with a relay to set the temp and cut off the heater. Easier way could be to add an SCR voltage regulator to lower the supply voltage to control the temperature by reducing the voltage supply to the heater. I'm curious which type of heater are you using and what's the rated power.
