This is an introduction to the new version 5 of DSP-Quattro, an application for MacOS to do Audio Editing, Audio Mastering, Audio CD burning, plug-in hosting. Just a short interview about the story behind it.

thanks for the new version, I'm working with the version 4.x for several months and I'm convinced of it. The Ver. 5 is installed and I test it now thoroughly and will adapt my midi controller to it (commando control)

Does version 5 burn 5.1 surround sound mixes to DVD or CD ?

No, I'm sorry. DSP-Quattro burns audio CD-ROMs or import/export DDP audio CD images only if the audio is mono or stereo. It burns - or export as DDP - audio CD-ROMs being compliant to the audio redbook standard.

Hello, can it burn data audio CDs? we have HOFA DDP bundle, but it can only either export DDP images, or burn audio CDs, it's not possible to use it for burning WAV/MP3 tracks on CD

DSP-Quattro is able to burn audio CD-ROMs according to the rebook standard, but they are not data CDs. I mean, you can play them by a CD-Player, but but it is not a data CD with mp3s on it. BTW, there is nothing easier on MacOS: just insert your empty data CD, you will see an HD mounted on the MacOS desktop, it is a data CD image. Use DSP-Quattro to edit your audio files /audioCDLayout. Then, still using DSP-Quattro, export your audio files /AudioCDLayout tracks as WAV/mp3 audio files on that data CD image. As last step, master it by using MacOS. That's all! Is it helping you?

@@stefanodaino thanks for quick reply! we're using SoundForge at company mostly, I prefer Reaper to be honest, but I'm familiar with various other softwares, and this Quattro I found accidentally doesn't seem bad - I'll check the demo :)
