Before this i always thought the calm/human voice here is vergil as he is the more calm one of the twins and him being blessed by the tree that being the quliopth. And that tears inside of him calm him down as for his sadness of his childhood trauma of him thinking his mother and brother left him behind.

Why? The throttled voice represents the demon side of Dante and the clear vocals represent the human side. Vergil embraces his demonic side, meanwhile Dante embraces his human side more.

Also Dante didn’t necessarily not give a shit about his father just didn’t embrace his demonic side, the entire song is intended to be written for Dante so it can be argued that most of these lyrics are his buried feelings.
