He IS using the original stock as his starting point BUT how does he know IF the original stock IS OF CORRECT PROPORTIONS ie size, shape, is there a palm swell how big is it etc etc then, length of pull drop at comb, cast, etc etc . This guy could be making a complete cock of a nice piece of wood !
