Trouble code P2002 in short means that regeneration has been blocked from happening by the ecu. Some of the causes are a blocked EGR cooler, a faulty differential pressure sensor or pipe work, faulty glow plugs or module, excessive oil dilution on the live data, a damaged DPF filter, a faulty fuel cap, a boost leak, a faulty throttle body, a faulty turbo to DPF clamp, constantly driving with less than 1/4 tank of fuel, a faulty thermostat, a faulty clutch or brake position sensor, a faulty neutral position sensor, a faulty fuel gauge, a faulty outside temperature sensor, a faulty coolant temperature sensor, a faulty radiator fan, a faulty battery and a couple of other things like faulty 5th injectors and fap fluid running dry on vehicles that use this method to regenerate and a few other things,so basically any sensor that reports position, pressure or temperature that doesn’t meet the ecu’s desired numbers but still has continuity, this usually causes this code. This is what a good DPF specialist will always check. It takes years to learn the usual suspects as I have found out and you will need at least 3 top line diagnostics scanners and I still learn something new every week.
