This is honestly one of the few changes I don't quite agree on. I'm fine to have different weak spots depending on the robot but, as presented - not everyone is on a bloodied min-maxed build! So this feels like - they're even more bullet sponges than before? I'm not on the PTS yet - the live server is keeping me busy enough (even if, it's getting stale..). I wonder if this applies to ballistic, no-armor penetration only? Are Inhibitors more vulnerable to other elements? Could be interesting to check the specific resistances before and after, via the perk card.

Correct me if I’m confused with Fall Out 4. But when 76 first came out, 1 or 2 hits on the combat inhibitor cause that robot to start attacking everything and not just the player. I’m sure I remember shooting the. Inhibitor then sitting back watch them fighting the other robots and/or creatures.

Yes, it used to do that more consistently than it does nowadays. I still target the CI of the robots at the Red Rocket Mega Stop when clearing it and they still do occasionally attack one another - usually the assaultron if she's there will start attacking the other robots.

Never needed to aim any weak points on robots but sentrybots, few updates back I remember one-shotting those things by cores by plasma caster or cremator every time except some events where it could have either no noticable effect or big chunks of health taken but not singke shot to kill those, and on assaultrons I did shot head to disable deathray when I was too low level to kill them fast Regarding combat inhibitor, I assume they lowered it so you can actually cripple it, which should make robot go frenzy and shoot anything around, if I am not mistaken, so it make sense it should survive that process

The assaultron at the RobCo used to die in 1-2 hits if you shot at its fusion cores, but now it doesn't take any extra damage. And that's on live servers. Not sure when they changed it.

I don't bother with the combat inhibitor most of the time. It's always been the worst place to aim IMO. Body shots do the same damage for protectrons and robobrains, and you deal more damage on a Gutsy/Handy by shooting the thruster. Even in the case of sentrybots, it's often more worthwhile to shoot the arms to disarm them unless you have a ton of damage reduction or an undetectable stealth build. The only time the combat inhibitor is a worthwhile target is when you need to make a robot go berserk without getting close enough to hack it, but I don't think that feature actually made it into FO76.

Almost everything they are doing is just to drain more and more resources from players. Its not balancing. it's not better for the game or the players. Its about draining resources and forcing us to get the same or less of what we have been for even more effort and / or longer play times... They literally went with the idea of making weak points more viable so ppl didnt just aim center mass and then basically decided to remove the extra damage for aiming at those spots right after. Effectively just making it a complete overall damage reduction. Dont recall if they kept it or not but its the point everything is gain 5 damage here and the enemy is altered also and you wind up doing 3 damage less than before... On top of their "balancing" they suddenly now after years or slnce launch in some cases have perk cards that after this amount of time should have just be made how the card is supposed to work instead of oops yeah we somehow didnt notice this has been bugged and now its "fixed" and working properly. Did we mention it happens to be another nerf to your damage coincidentally??

@DTDGamer This is true it's the one thing i can understand about what they do. Should people be able to cake walk everything at all times no. But the balancing act also can't lean too far in that direction. Sure it's built to be multiplayer and thats great but once you get to be a high enough level you should have the ability to run through most crap especially if you adjust build and loadout for what you are facing. As I'm over 1100 these days when servers have lazy or busy people and noone is showing up to events I'm aiming to solo the thing even if it costs me some resources and deaths so long as I can eventually do it. But to just be trapped by the idea that unless you have others actually show up you can't play the events or missions you want that will just cause me to put the game down.

@@Stringypete1 He's not wrong though. The CI has always been the least worthwhile target on robots. Body shots do the same damage on protectrons and robobrains, as do arm/leg shots which carry the additional benefit of disarming or immobilizing, and thruster hits do more damage to Mr. Handys/Gutsys than CI hits do. The only reason to ever shoot at the CI is to make the robot go berserk in hopes that it will attack something else, but that almost never works in FO76.

This is why it's becoming less and less fun to play this game but the most damage is from hitting them in the body anyway so just do body shots. Then again Auto-melee goes brrr and eats everything. Make your Vampire, Power Attack, +1 strenght Auto-axe or chainsaw today

They need to stop balancing the game around sneak crit bloodied builds and finally nerf bloodied damage. Every other playstyle is suffering because of how inherently broken stacking unyielding bloodied and vat crits is, and no I don't think merely giving new legendaries to buff full health builds is enough of a bandaid to fix that. They nerfed two shot into the ground and shotguns are semi useless past early level. This is ridiculous. It's also weird that the new DOT weapon they introduced also got heavily nerfed too by making the DOT take way too long to actually kill anything it doesn't even stack making it extremely useless on tanky enemies. I don't think the game is difficult even with a non min maxed build full health build but none of these changes are really going to improve the player experience.

People need to stop with thinking nerfing anything is a good idea on a pve game, it needs to be fun. What they need to do is let everything up to bloodied builds, obviously low health should be a bit stronger but narrow the gap. They need to buff all slayer traits to 150, two shot needs to be plus 75% damage not 25%, anti armor 90% change stabilize perk card to 25% damage to heavies in PA, change gourmands to 10% damage per food buff up to 95% as a full health alternative. Mutants shouldn't have a cap in my opinion. Rework mutations to where some offer benefits based off max health/percent health and combine some like scaly and grounded/rework grounded to add electric damage instead of remove. Add foods that buff specific gun types. Never think to lower the floor when we can raise it especially in a pve game, look at what happened to helldivers when they nerfed the main useful items. So many thinks that need work from legendary perk cards to cards in general, so many avenues untouched in the game, nerfing the main build will just cost interest In the game but raising variety will bring interest into it. One build that will be fun with 4 star legendary items will be the tank reflect power armor build and I hope they keep adding fun traits like this.

Buff and diversify perks (cards) weapons armor etc. Seems like the're (very) slowly getting it with the endurance perks from last update and now with resistances and other rebalancing. Never really bothered with inhibitors since body shots seem to do fine.

What they need to do is stop using an absolutely maxed out build as their starting point to gauge how things should be balanced. The way things are right now, with very few exceptions, a min maxed bloody commando using sneakcrit perk cards provides the only semblance of an end game fallout experience. And it's still lacking imo. But take away anything that adds damage from that build, and you're left feeling underpowered and annoyed. Trust me, you're not the only one feeling this way, but it has nothing to do with how that particular build is designed. It's the devs lack of action (and at this point, I'd say their lack of ability) to make other builds and weapons viable. They don't know what they're doing; it's obvious at this point. When you're a level 1000+ who's played Fallout since the 2d games, its infuriating playing 76 when you go full health and use free aim. Laughably ridiculous. That ain't Fallout. It's trash game design by lazy, incompetent morons who care more about hamfisting girl boss NPCs into the game than they do about making it fun to play. But sitting here asking for more nerfs? If they were to listen to you and go through with that horrendous idea? This game would be dead within 3 months.

I've been saying it for years and left the game because of it. My dream playstyle is a full health chinese stealth armor non vats stealth sniper/pistol. I love it...but it sucks. Anything that's not a fully auto weapon using vats will not be able to complete content. IMO there should be a damage DEBUFF for using vats.

Yes, constantly nerfing the damage caused by players does not make the game fun, it just makes people feel annoyed. Bethesda should stop wasting time and focus on developing more interesting game content, missions, etc.

So the game doesn't look like a PS3 at it's best & a PS2 game at it's worst? ps.Rockstar just released RDR 1 on pc & that looks even better then 76 & that game came out years B4 76.Bethesda really need a kick up the backside.Everything they do is looking so outdated these days.
