I’ve found putting masking tape over the white part in front of the wheel for some reason gave me a 100% success rate in feeding all DTF film. It’s apparently some sensor that has trouble with detecting the film and putting masking tape makes it think it’s being detected every time.
@ursdubel35852 жыл бұрын
Super weird because the sensor is behind a plastic to right, but i agree 100% it works every single time ever since. THANK YOU 👍👍👍

Hey man thanks for this - I was gonna take this thing apart for no reason - your suggestion to approach cleaning it, led to me cleaning the wheel, which led to discovering 3 staples that fell inside - they were jamming it from pulling the 13x19 paper - thanks!!

thanks. these problems are the main issue for this printer i have been using these method for long time . i learnt the tape method and the oil spray. will try them .in future . thanks . keep the good work .

Thank you. The masking tape at the back of the DTF film works. It adds an extra step on the process but its totally worth it. I still have to change the rubber grips though.

This worked great thanks, but unfortunately, it is taking film through but not far enough and missing the start of the print. Is this a dirty sensor? If so where are they?

HAVE AN EPSON 8500 WIDE FORMAT. MY ISSUE IS WHEN THE PRINT IS COMING OUT OF THE PRINTER IT RUBS ALONG THE TOP OF THE OUTPUT AREA AND SMEARS. I LITERALLY HAVE TO SIT THERE AND PUSH THE FRONT OF THE FILM DOWN AS IT IS COMING OUT SO THAT IT DONT RUB ALONG THE TOP OF THE OUTPUT AREA.. SO TIME CONSUMING.. ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS ISSUE AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO FIX IT?
@boyansilyavski82892 жыл бұрын
And draw in Corel or whatever small white rectangle, then print 100 paper pages. As there is no actual printing happening the empty pages just clean all rollers. Do this once per week.
@deadspoon3046 Жыл бұрын
I had the same issue and what fixed it for me was putting a couple of a4 paper in the feed and then put my dtf paper and it works every time
@MainlandFarmAndCustomCreations Жыл бұрын
You can also use 1-2inches of masking tape on the back of the film, or you can use a Silhouette Cameo cutting mat. The printer pulls these mats right through. Because they are thin. Don't use a Cricut cutting mat, as they are too thick. (I've tried them). Stick with the Silhouette Cameo cutting mat. 12x24.

The bottom drive roller doesn't turn freely. Any ideas on how to fix it? The L1800 just feeds paper through.

Hi do u have any video how i convert 7880 or 7890 epson to dtf thank you
@dtfprintingtechnology94573 жыл бұрын
Not yet but the process is pretty much the same for all the printers. You need to find 3rd party cartridges or CISS so that you could refill them with DTF ink and you need to remove anything that smudges the ink as the film comes out. Usually a set of rollers. You may not even need to do that with some wide format printers.

@Blqman9892 жыл бұрын
@@rhomeotim yes if you look where the paper load at the bottom right side near the roller there is a paper sensor white color cover with a dark piece of tape and it accepts the film with no issues.

This printer has been the biggest waste of money, I am ready to run it over with my car....Please help. Liked and subscribed. Thank you
@dtfprintingtechnology9457 Жыл бұрын
It takes around 6 cleaning cycles to get the ink going during the initial setup. Make sure the dampers are primed and full of ink. Then do a nozzle check print through Epson software. What does the nozzle check show?
