I'm confused... is it for DTG or Screen Printing ? I have a M&R I-DOT and I want to have a white layer with slight choking and print over it with color in cmykwwww. All your answers look to redirect for screen printing...

can i use this white underbase for dark shirts using cmyk?
@Greatdanegraphicsart7 жыл бұрын
You can, but we don't recommend CMYK printing. You should use the simulated process printing.

Yes, you should use Separation Software. We have a free trial for Separation Studio on the website. You can try it out before investing. www.greatdanegraphics.com/screen-printing-spot-process-separation-studio

How do you save it with the Alpha Channel to TIFF,PNG?
@Greatdanegraphicsart7 жыл бұрын
Save as a TIF file with a spot color alpha channel. It might be different depending on the RIP or printer used. Check with your manufacturer.

thanks for your tutorial, what RIP software to print this? or directly from Photoshop?
@Greatdanegraphicsart7 жыл бұрын
We recommend and use AccuRIP software. You can try a 14-day trial from our website. www.greatdanegraphics.com/screen-print-software-accurip

Can you use this in the new Brother dtg-381 printers? Hadn't received ours yet,
@Greatdanegraphicsart8 жыл бұрын
+KENNETH SCOTT Good Question Scott. This video is to show how it's done in Photoshop and is meant as a general response for all users. Most DTGs come with Software that can do this for you including Brother. Check with your rep and he should be able to point you in the right direction. If you don't get the detail you are looking for from your DTG software then this is a good place to refer back to. You won’t need to do this with your Brother printer; they have software that will take care of this for you.
