DTM Test 2024 Hockenheim - Pure Sound

DTM is back!!!!
More than six hours of testing time and 2,131 laps were completed in Hockenheim. In four test sessions data was collected in order to adjust the vehicles for the start of the season in Oschersleben from April 26th to 28th.
René Rast has been one of the leading drivers in the field from the start and achieved the overall best time of 1:37.077 minutes in the BMW M4 GT3 from Schubert Motorsport. His team mate and former DTM champion Sheldon van der Linde took second place. Two-time title holder Marco Wittmann ensured that the three BMWs from Schubert Motorsport finished the two-day DTM test in the top three places. Ayhancan Güven was in brilliant form with his new team Manthey EMA and drove his Porsche 911 GT3-R to fourth place. The current champion Thomas Preining was 5th fastest.

@jensolaf3045 Ich auch. Hoffentlich wird die Saison genauso spannend wie die Letzte. Die 3 Schubert BMW‘s waren auch im Test auf den ersten 3 Plätzen, auch wenn das noch nicht viel heißen mag.

@zzcdss DTM has GT3 rules since 2022 after Mercedes and Audi pulled out of the sport. Only BMW was left. So in order to „save“ DTM the changed the reglement to GT3 basically killing the GT Masters (even tho this season there are more entries in GT Masters). In 2022 Sheldon van der Linde won in his BMW M4 GT3 and last season there was a title decider in the last race weekend at Hockenheim between Preining (Porsche) and Bortolotti (Lamborghini). In the end Preining won to hand Porsche their first ever DTM championship. New this season are two teams (see video). But with Dörr Motorsport there is also a new manufacturer (McLaren) involved. @STANDARDGAMER-18v Ich finde die GT3 Autos nicht schlecht. Wenn du in ein paar Erinnerungen schwelgen möchtest, empfehle ich dir mein Video zu M3 E30 Rally oder das zum Preis der Stadt Stuttgart oder der Hockenheim Historic, wo alte Tourenwagen und DTM Fahrzeuge gefahren sind.

@bernd5775 Zum Glück. Ich kann nur vom Hockenheimring berichten, da ich leider noch nicht an der NOS war. GT3 Autos sind für die großen Events (DTM, GTWC, GT Open, GT Masters) nicht gedämpft. Habe Videos von der NLS gesehen und kann dir nur zustimmen. Gerade der Porsche hört sich dann einfach schrecklich an. Dafür hat der Ring abwechslungsreichere Events (mehr historics etc) was das Lautstärkekontingent halt verbraucht. Die Peinlichkeit am Hockenheimring ist das es viel zu wenig Events an sich gibt. Das Problem hat die NOS nicht.

Das hat mit DTM nix mehr zu tun. Das ist nix anderes wie GT3 Masters......... Viel teuer das ganze. Nur noch reiche Leute Sport. Langweilig, wie alles was an Motorsport in Deutschland läuft. Schaut euch mal die Superbike WM an. Motorräder von der Stange die jeder kaufen kann und es dürfen nur minimale Veränderungen vorgenommen werden. Das ist an Spannung nicht mehr zu überbieten. Und solche Spannung war es auch bei der DTM Ende der 80er und Anfang der 90er. Die Zuschauerzahlen werden nie mehr erreicht werden. Dann kam die ITC, alles viel zu hochgepuscht und viel zu teuer und alles ging in die Brüche. Und das hier wird auch nicht mehr lange dauern das es vorbei ist.
