Welcome to the full assembly video of the XM Studios X-Men vs. Sentinel diorama. This 1/6 scale statue is the biggest, heaviest and most expensive X-Men statue on the market today. It stands 51" tall, 59" wide, 30" deep and weighs in at a whopping 220 pounds! You seriously need a large table to display this thing! It features 6 X-Men (Rogue, Colossus, Jubilee, Bishop, Beast and Archangel. Also included is a 1/6 scale Nimrod in pieces. This is one behemoth of a piece! If you have this statue, make sure to have a friend handy for the assembly!

The battle scene pits 6 heroic X-Men characters; Beast, Archangel, Psylocke, Jubilee, Bishop and Colossus against a fearsome Sentinel robot and Nimrod. Crafted in Cold Cast Porcelain, the sheer size, details and immense presence this piece has will make it undoubtedly THE centerpiece showcase for any X-Men statue collector. While only 1:6 scale, this MASSIVE cold-cast porcelain diorama is anything but small! it never ceases to amaze me whenever I see projects like this. I mean, the process of putting this thing together is amazing, but even more fascinating is the thought process of the man (and yes, I know it was a man--it is always a man) who decided that people wanted statues like this in their homes, and created it. I would love to see this same process for classic art works like the statue of David or Venus De Milo so that more people could have them in their homes for more people to experience. As for this one in particular, I have been an X-Men fan since I was a kid way back in the 1960s so seeing this amazing sculpture is a real treat.

I think a white backdrop would work better than a black one because it’s a little hard to make out all the details on some pieces

Agree, but a white background creates it's own set of problems. Grey would probably be ideal. But didn't feel like painting my wall. I underestimated the subtractive power of the black turntable. It basically swallowed the fill light I am used to having with a white table top.
