This Dua is of reliable value, for it has been recognised and reported by al-Kaf’ami (with whom may Allah be pleased) in al-Misbah and al-Balad al-Amin from Abdullah, son of Abbas. Al-Kaf’ami said regarding this Dua: "There is great mystique and secrecy attached to it. It is one of the most precious supplications. Ameerul Momineen (A S) used to regularly recite it in the morning, at night and before daybreak." Also, Sheikh Hassan, son of Salman al-Hili (with whom may Allah be pleased), has reported it in al-Muhtadhar, and so has many other scholars in their jurisprudential compilations. This particular dua by Ameerul Momineen (A S) has been given a great significance by our former scholars; which proves its reliability. For Example: 1. Al-Sheikh al-Adham al-Ansari (with whom may Allah be pleased) has mentioned it in his jurisprudential works on prayers. 2. From our contemporary scholars, our Grand Authority (may Allah prolong his life) has proved its greater significance over all the other Dua e Qunut . Moreover, many expositional compilations have been compiled by our scholars of this dua, such as: 1. Dhukhr al-Amileen Fi Sharh Dua al-Sanamain” by al-Mawla Mehdi, son of Mawla Ali Asghar, son of Muhammad Yusuf al-Qazwini 2 "Rashh al-Wala’ Fi Sharh al-Dua” by Sheikh Abi al-Sa’adat As’ad, son of Abdul Qadir, son of As’ad al-Asfahani; Sayed Radhi al-Din Ali, son of Tawous 3. Al-Muhaqiq Nasir al-Din al-Tusi; and Sheikh Maytham al-Bahrani Furthermore many other scholars have presented an explication of this Dua; for example Al-Mawla al-Iraqi, al-Fadhil Isa Khan al-Ardabily, al-Allamah Yusuf, son of Hussain, son of Muhammad Al-Nasir Al-Tusi Al-Androdi; and Mirza Muhammad Ali al-Mudaris al-Jahardhi al-Najafi etc. In a book called “Tuhfat Al-Owam Maqbool”, the following scholars agreed on the authenticity of Dua Saname Quriash: 1. Ayatollah Sayyed Muhsin Hakeem Al-Tabtiba’ei 2. Ayatollah Sayyed Abu Al-Qasim Al-Kho’ei 3. Ayatollah Sayyed Rouhallah Khomenie 4. Ayatollah Sayyed Mahmoud Al-Shamroudi 5. Ayatollah Sayyed Muhamed Kazim Shari’atmdar 6. Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Al-Naqi Al-Naqari The above are all Ayatollahs, who have the highest rank in the Shia hierarchy. And perhaps the most powerful of them who accepted it was Ayatollah Khomeini. In terms of the authenticity of the chain; this supplication falls under the same category of all the other known supplications. Dua’ Kumail, Dua al-Sabah, Dua al-Adilah, Dua Abu Hamza al-Thumali, Dua al-Nudbah, Dua al-Mashlool, Dua al-Jawshan al-Saghir and al-Jawshan al-Kabir. The details of the one reference mentioned in the video is as under: This dua is mentioned in the esteemed Shia book, “Bihar Al Anwar” (p.260) by Allama Majlisi. (You can see this here: www.al-shia.com/html/ara/books/behar/behar82/125.htm) In the following Shia Hadith, we read that the the two idols (al Lat and al Uza) are the code-names for Abu Bakr and Umar, on p.283 of Bihar Al Anwar: - ك : السناني ، عن الاسدي ، عن سهل ، عن عبدالعظيم الحسني قال : قلت لمحمدبن علي بن موسى عليهم السلام : إني لارجو أن تكون القائم من أهل بيت محمد الذي يملا الارض قسطا وعدلا كما ملئت ظلما وجورا ، فقال عليه السلام : يا أباالقاسم ما منا إلا قائم بأمرالله عزوجل وهاد إلى دينه ، ولكن القائم الذي يطهر الله به الارض من أهل الكفر والجحود ، ويملا ها عدلا وقسطا هو الذي يخفى على الناس ولادته ويغيب عنهم شخصه ، ويحرم عليهم تسميته ، وهو سمي رسول الله وكنيه ، وهو الذي تطوى له الارض ، ويذل له كل صعب ، يجتمع إليه أصحابه عدة أهل بدر ثلاثمائة وثلاثة عشر رجلا من أقاصي الارض وذلك قول الله عزوجل ” أينما تكونوا يأت بكم الله جميعا إن الله على كل شئ قدير ” ( 2 ) . فإذا اجتمعت له هذه العدة من أهل الاخلاص أظهر أمره ، فإذا أكمل له العقد ، وهو عشرة آلاف رجل ، خرج بإذن الله عزوجل ، فلا يزال يقتل أعداء الله حتى يرضى الله عزوجل . قال عبدالعظيم : فقلت له : ياسيدي وكيف يعلم أن الله قد رضي ؟ قال : يلقي في قلبه الرحمة . فاذا دخل المدينة أخرج اللات والعز ى فأحرقهما On page 284, you can read the Sharh by Allamah Majlissi about al Lat and al ‘Uza, in which Allamah Majlisi states that these are names for Abu Bakr and Umar: بيان : يعني باللات والعزى صنمي قريش أبابكر وعمر No one can reject Dua Saname Quriash, or arouse suspicion to it, for it has been reported by the same scholars who have reported other duas and made it clear that they had only reported the most trustworthy duas. This is because the authenticity or soundness of the chain is especially important when it comes to rulings or obligatory acts and duties, whereas the known jurisprudent principle of leniency in deducing proofs for recommended acts, is instead discussed when it comes to supplications. Last of all, if you concentrate on each line of the dua you'll discover a complete chapter of history (.....and you'll find that Saname Quraish made a great effort to conceal historical facts!). Ask yourself the question "Is there any historical fact described in the dua incorrect?" Please refer to Marajah of your Taqleed for details and further clarifications.

In this link you will find volume 82 of the book 'Bahar ul Anwar'. Dua Saname e Quraish is written in para no.5 on page 260. In case the link does not work then search "Bahar u; Anwar Volume 82" on google search.

Yes this is very reliable dua From Book sources Ibn e Abbas was Ravi of this Dua Imam Ali recite it in Namaz e Shab
