Would LOVE a DUA comparison video with the originals that they’re duping. I have 10 DUAs and want more. They definitely have to sit awhile, and they get better. I’m so sad that Gourmand Coquin is discontinued and impossible to find. But the DUA clone of it is intoxicating.

I love Dua fragrances. I've let all my bottles sit since February/March and they do smell a lot better. My absolute favorite winter scent was Crater and for the summer I have been OBSESSED with Caribbean Casino.

I wouldn’t say every one I’ve gotten is 99% 1:1 - but I agree you can’t judge it right from the start - spray and wait at least 6 weeks before you really know.

Thank you Sarah! This was a video that was well needed. I have been thinking about pulling the trigger on a Dua fragrance. Letting these sit for a while makes perfect sense. I have noticed with Be Layered fragrances ,because they use a lot of natural oils that it’s the same thing. Have my eye on Amberliscious, and the Guerlain dupe for Gourmande Coquin. 😊🌸😘

I love Dua for the reasons you say. One that I have is a dupe of Jacques Fath Iris Gris, which is only available in Paris and costs about $1,500. I appreciate that I have that from Dua because that price on the original is off the chain! One I just love for summer is a dupe of a Creed's Pure White. There's no way I'm paying for Creed when a lot of Creeds don't have longevity. I have a lot of Duas, actually. One I'm trying to sell on Mercari is one of their originals that is a blend of all types of vanilla, and I'm just trying to sell it because I have too many vanillas. I also like Alexandria fragrances. Dua puts out a lot more fragrances and more that are marketed towards women, and Alexandria seems to focus more on "male" frags, but they are both good. Dua does have to macerate for sure.

Hi there! I do love that about Dua, that they create dupes for perfumes that aren’t available to the majority of us. It’s great. I also love Alexandria. The female line from Alexandria is Be Layered if you want to check them out. I will be doing a video with them soon. ❤️

Sarah, yes, thx. One thing I don't like about Alexandria, though, is they charge more for the "feminine" BeLayered frags. BeLayered is more expensive than Alexandria. Dua does not charge more for frags marketed towards women. I won't buy BeLayered because of that.

I bought a DUA fragrance called Femme Fatale… dup for Christian Dior Gris Dior. At first it smells like plastic and then now after 4 months smells different. Much better smell to it. I agree with you on letting them sit. Great video!

You were so right on the Dark Chocolate, Rum and vanilla one. I got it and sprayed it and was like wtf is that but given some time it actually grew on me - the rum and vanilla comes out a lot more. I won't say it's 10x better but it's definitely more well rounded and quite pleasing about 20 minutes in

I just got Iris & white chocolate and it does smell like a cat litter box!! 😂😂😂 it’s the leather. I can smell through the poo and it reminds me of L’heure Bleue but with a fecal overtone, lol. The person I bought it from said they let it macerate but I think they just let it sit. I sprayed it a few times, but it back in the box and away on the dark. I’d love an update, Sarah. I bought Caramel Pomme, Chocolate Truffle and one with Cherry-can't remember the name because I have packed them far away and they are very weak-don't smell like anything. I think I got a bad batch or something. I really want to try them again but am nervous they'll be weak again.

Hi there! I think if you want a true caramel apple scent I would say the dua but if you want something not quite as sweet and a bit woody I would say Casablanca. 🙏🏻☺️

Hi there! They have one called Be In Love that is the dupe of Love Don’t Be Shy but it’s sold out at the moment. They also have one called Hey Sweetie that is a dupe of Parfums de Marly Oriana which also smells very close to LDBS. I hope that helps! ❤️

Oh my gosh, lol, the Amberlicious/Ambre Narguile issue was me! I thought you said the dupe was screechy for you as well? Did the juice change with time that much? My take was very synthetic, very playdough heavy amber and yes, way too loud and cheap, like the comparison between a Lamborghini and a VW Bug if you know what I mean. I am one who many scents do not last on me except vintage and so I was all for a heavy hitter. I also have the dupe of Le Labo Rose 31 and it is great and spot on right from the first spray, no need to wait. The Guerlains you mention have me wanting to try one more time. I want to buy Iris Torrefie as I love it, but it has the poorest performance ever on me as do a lot of iris scents I love. And back to AN, I do think after all this time come fall I will be ok trying my Hermes again thankfully. Should I give this house a second try?
