The fact that she was clocked for having no stage presence.. she didn’t retaliate, argue, but instead worked on it in secret and improved... That’s the energy I need for 2020

MusicRecordsChannel It’s a big improvement for Dua Lipa. She has got amazing vocals, especially live vocals but her stage presence, choreography and confidence was very very low in her earlier performances.She has been memed for the last year or so for her not so energetic performances but she’s made a big improvement. Yeah she’s not ground breaking but she’s definitely got better. She has potential to be even better in a few years time. Just give her time, she’s only coming up towards her 2nd album.

@dalizia71684 жыл бұрын
@@Emmmmarrrrrrrr How was Thank U, Next heavily promoted? It was literally a surprise drop and she only performed it live twice before 7 Rings came out. Nevertheless it had already reached #1 after just two weeks. In addition to that all of her songs she released this year actually did quite good. 7 Rings which she released in January is another #1 song and Break Up with Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored which dropped in february peaked at #2 and probably could have been another number one if Ariana didn't block the number one spot herself. She literally claimed the top 3 spots on the Billboard hot 100 simultaneously. That seems pretty successfull to me🤷♀️ But I agree that the other songs she released afterwards didn't do as good. Let's have a look at Monopoly which came out in April. The song peaked at #69 without any promotion so I think that's ok. On the other hand her next release Boyfriend (august) which she only performed once at the Lollapalooza peaked at #8. I also agree that the Charlie's Angels Soundtrack didn't do very well but that doesn't actually count because it's not solely her work. If you look at the Songs she has done on the Soundtrack like How I Look on You and Don't Call Me Angel (peaked at #13) one can see that those songs where quite successful too. After all you are definitely right with your statement that releases in pop music are just different and have to be promoted in another way. I guess Ariana is just an exeption.

You can tell Dua’s really put in the work to become a more expressive performer and a better dancer and that’s something to applaud in itself. She’ll only get better from here!

How much
@blveflame4 жыл бұрын
These performances are usually for PR, they don’t get anything or just a couple thousands, that’s it.
@connectthedots41694 жыл бұрын
Eric Zeybert “...that’s it.” Not everyone can be so flippant about a couple of thousands lol. 😭😂
@blveflame4 жыл бұрын
Connect The Dots he was referring to his annual income tho, which would be something around 30-50k. That’s not how much you get from a single performance as such.

I just like that Dua is more confident in this era. And she isn't lipsyncing everyone! She's been singing this so many times LIVE. And the good thing is Don't Start Now is expected to be in the Top 20 in the Hot 100!
