To activate the jump start, run power from the aux battery positive post to the solenoid where the small red wire is connected. That will activate the solenoid, allowing power to flow to the truck circuits.

I thought the yellow battery is the Aux-Bat... The one one the LEFT OF THE SCREEN is the regular battery. Am I confused?

Originally I had the yellow battery as the aux but I moved it to the main battery the battery on the passenger side is the aux battery

On the earlier models, the driver's side is the main battery. On later models, the main battery was placed on the passenger side.

Hey bro you need a bigger wire from the alternator to the red box were you got it hooked up. Match the size to help ease the stress on you alternator. I did the same set up in my 02 Silverado.

It's been good so far no issues with my alternator I added a digital voltage meter on my dashboard so I can monitor the power from each battery

@@midlman71 the thinner wire is a bottle neck for amps (amperage) to pass through. The voltage will pass through fine. Just a way for you to save the extra strain on your alternator and to save you from premature alternator failure. Just friendly advise from a twenty year mechanic.

@@robharless4265 hey does your Silverado leak oil? I can't figure out where it's coming from
@robharless42655 жыл бұрын
@@midlman71 most common leaks are the oil pressure sensor located above the oil filter. Or the actual oil filter housing. There is a seal between the engine block and the oil filter housing.

@@robharless4265 i havea question about how some people running second battery with the isolator. Why some run Second battery+ to the isolator and then from the isolator to main battery+ or that red+ box that connects to the alternator? Why not second battery+ to isolator and from isolator straight to the alternator+? Wouldnt it be Less wires to run instead of running all around to the other main battery right? and the main battery+ is connected straight to the alternator anyways right? I have an 03 silverado 1500 5.3. And been watching alot of videos on how people ran it. I want to install it also but dont want to yet just wanted to make sure if i can install it that way if not i just install it how others do it.
