I have one of these stove that I got from my grandad it in mint condition I will never part with it I use it in the summer when the weather is good I will never part with it you have done a fantastic job to bring that stove back to life hello from Ireland 🇮🇪👍😊😊😊

Yes - that gauge was/would have been very confusing to me; empty at top, full at the bottom, but as you demonstrated; it is only a rough indicator to how much is in it - in your case it indicated it was empty but there was enough oil in it to be burned - partly what Greg had said - I would have painted a green dot at the bottom to indicate it is full, and a yellow dot at the top indicating it is nearly empty but will actually have 5-10 minutes of burning before they go out? 😉

Maybe the level indicator is on the wrong hole, maybe the indicator and the fuel tank cap are interchanged.

This burner and tank combination comes from a Pod 2k paraffine or kerosene heater. It is made in Sweden. The wicks are still available.

Ellerinize ve emeğinize sağlık, kediye de maşallah. Çok güzel oldu, bayağı kötü durumdaydı, tahminimce bayağı uğraştırmıştır fakat sonuç olarak gayet güzel ve kullanışlı oldu. Eskisi gibi gazyağı bulunabiliyorsa sorun yok.

Everything is mesmerising but i only have one note, the wick whether in this video or the stove video should've been submerged wholly and totally in the fuel before mounting, this way it would never be burned. I noticed that you start igniting the wick before even it having the chance to absorb the fuel. Any which way, Thanks again and again for your great work and efforts.

might i suggest priming the wick (get them wet with the lamp oil). makes for easier lighting and you have to do it the one time.

there is something wrong on that flame ... way too yellow! ... Is there any airflow possible from underneath the stove? Without that, the flame is too "rich". Just put this stove on 2 wooden or metal blocks. A few cm high. Plus ... when starting a new wick, always wait 10 or more minutes before firing-up. Gives the wick time to get totally soaked. Super restoration-job! thanks for sharing 🙂

In other parts of the world, I believe paraffin fuel is called kerosene or heating oil. If you let the flame get too big, I also think it would smoke and blacken the kettle.
