Another great video. You make it look so easy. When things don't fit or work right, you always have a fix for it. You are a talented carpenter. It doesn't appear that you take many short cuts. I look forward to part 2 of this build.

My couch slides out into my bed too-although not over the kitchen. Maybe on the next remodel. lol Great design! I have a shiki buton-basically a futon that I sleep on, I just fold part of the side next to the wall over during the day for a backrest. No cutting involved, about 5" thick when you're sleeping on it, and very comfortable. Just an option.
@charisma-hornum-fries2 жыл бұрын
I've slept on futons all my life. It's hard getting used to normal mattresses. My back always hurts badly when doing the switch. I hope you don't experience that.

And this is why I watch your videos. The first time I saw you extended the bed I saw the way the boards lifted up and I thought uh-oh. Most people ( including myself) would have said I can deal with that but you went the extra mile. I would love for you to build a van for me in a couple years. Do you think $15,000 would do a build?
@rains572 жыл бұрын
Mr. Dulex, please tell us how why you put the achor for the slat system on top of the bed frame instead of on the bottom so it not only kept the slats alined but also acted as a stopping block so you did not pull the slide out of its place. I did not see that action in the bed slide system. Please elaborate?

If you move the support piece you added to the top of the pull out to the bottom side, it would also act as a stop to prevent someone from pulling it too far.
@Dualex_Builds2 жыл бұрын
There’s actually a stop block that prevents it from sliding too far on the support rails but I forgot to mention that in the video
