The comments on the knee braces is really a great tip. Additionally insurance does cover them AND, if any of your viewers are Veterans, the VA can provide them through the prosthetics department from BTO sports.

Wow! Thank you very much TDubskid! I really appreciate the professionalism and completeness of your reviews. I never thought of getting kneepads before. Makes a lot of sense though. The complete list with links is very handy as well. Sounds like a lot of thought and experience went into each gear selection. Thanks for shortening my learning curve. I appreciate it.

no problem brotha! thanks for the video idea, yeah knee protection is so important even its nothing expensive it's still better than nothing, this guy shattered his tibial plateau on his tw just by crashing at 25mph on pavement by hitting some gravel, kzbin.info/www/bejne/a6jGn2egjqxljJo that is one of the worst knee injuries you can get. not sure if knee protection would have prevented it for sure but it could have. yeah it takes a some trial and error to find out what works well and stuff, hopefully this helps people figure out what to get. no problem!

“Remember those goofy pants people used to wear in elementary school?” reminds me of, “remember that really old movie, Empire Strikes Back?” OMG, that’s just adorable. Very helpful review as I’m just getting into trail riding (on a TW no less), even though I’m old enough to be your mom. You’re the best TDubsKid.

Very Nice, Here in Arizona that Fly Vented jacket is the "HOT" set up so to speak. I keep my plastic liner and sometimes a forest map in the back armor area just so I always have it with me and maybe a bit of cushion effect if I were to land on my back like a big fat bug. Good stuff. Thank You

Great video! With the quality of your videos I'm suprised company's are not offering sponsorship or sending you gear . If I can share a couple tips, the rain liner on most summer jackets are made to go over the outside or inside the jacket. I just throw mine over the outside. Also, when it's hot hot...I ride in shorts with my knee braces and boots, pants don't really do much from the knee down and the extra air really helps stay cool. Keep the vids coming, great work.
@TDubsKid
@TDubsKid 6 жыл бұрын
thank you! haha yeah that would be cool but I use affiliate links a lot so that helps me support and improve the videos with better camera gear and stuff. yeah over the outside is probably best but that is just how they designed the mesh jacket, it was pretty cheap. that's not a bad idea but the only reason I don't wear shorts is because I ride on the street to get to an off area. i'm sure that feels super nice, I really need to get winter pants soon, mesh does not feel good when it's cold haha. thanks ill keep them coming!

yea man, it's mesh, like long underwear/spandex? kinda. Never had a comfort issue with it so far. Not sure how the knee braces would feel on top of it however. If your case you'd probably want the protective shorts and long top shirt. I think it's good stuff - you can use any protective jacket on top, jeans the same. For me I found it wonderful as jackets don't always have a good "snug" armor fit, where this stuff is.

hey there, I have a manrack shown here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hma6ioZrqMeZe5I the manrack and cycleracks are the best ones. the problem isn't with the rack themselves it's the thin metal that they attach to on the bike. I can crack over time if you put a good amount of weight on it

Hi bud, I'm just getting into this dual sport thing after buying my 2018 XT250 yesterday and I'm shopping around now for boots. Are you still satisfied with those Alpinestar Tech2's or would you buy something else if you were in the market for a new pair?

@TDubsKid 6 жыл бұрын
Ray Paul hey awesome congrats on the new xt250 it’s a cool bike, and I love my tech 2 boots still, I use them because I have knee braces and didn’t want the bottom part of them stuffed in the boots, they are also pretty comfortable walking around in, just be aware it will be easier to get shinners with them cause there is less protection, I haven’t had any issues with them yet though

You mentioned "MSF-course", I'm very curious now. I live in Sweden and I am trying to get my motorcycling license, here it's called "A-körkort", stands for A-driverslicense, kind of. But could you please make a video where you describe and tell some about your experience while doing your course? I assume you made it in Colorado, so are the tests very different from state to state? What did you find hardest? And for how long have you been riding any kind of motorized two wheeled vehicles? I found this video on YT : kzbin.info/www/bejne/lWrYfKevlJuBfbc This is how you get your MC-permit/license in the USA then?
@TDubsKid
@TDubsKid 4 жыл бұрын
it depends on the state here, they are different on how it works but in Colorado it's easy, you can just take an Motorcyle safety course (MSF) then if you pass you go to the DMV and you get a motorcycle endorsement on your license and you can ride any motorcycle you want

Well, if you watch some videos you can see it is a good helmet for road or offroad, you can use goggles with the visor on or off, or use the quick strap for the goggles, you get the interior sun shades, you can transform it to be completely off road ( full open chin vent, no visor, extendable peack ), or for normal roads, if you want you can get integrated system nexx x-com - it's a sena smh 10r - but designed especific for the helmet to get flush ( not sticking out ), several mountings in the helmet designed for cameras, i mean im gonna get one later this year, the more i learn about it, the more i love it. The key here is to get the canyon, it's the latest model where they improved several fault's and did upgrade a couple of things. For your adventures i think it has everything you need. Just check revzilla or something to get a better understand about it. Much love, Fan from portugal PS: Sorry for the potato english, it's only my fourth language
