I personally think the thunder II is the best scooter on the market. I also think it's the best dualtron. 72v 40ah. For a relatively reasonable price. 11" tubeless. Wide deck. Good lighting. It can legit get 60mph and can get about 40 miles of range. It's heavy, but not too heavy. It sort of has all the characteristics I would look for in a scooter. I think the thunder 2 is the perfect blend of everything I would want in a scooter. Because the exact AH is important and differentiates it from the achehlius and storm and original thunder

Can you explain how the square wave controllers work. I'm kinda confused. From what I understand it's like an "on - off" switch. But does that mean that if you only pull the throttle 1/4 of the way you get full 100% power? Or just 100% of 1/4 throttle power? Can you only pull the throttle a tiny amount and get full speed? Or do you need to pin the throttle to get max speed..? And why do you guys use the square wave controllers if the sine wave controllers are smoother?

This old stem design sucks bad, the kick plate seems great, until you realize your foot is going to absorb every bump you hit, because its part of the suspension not the body.

As much as I love my storm - there's NO way this thing hits 60 MPH. Just not possible.

I gotta grip on that factoid, but is it decently rideable? We know it’s DT quality, at a high weight. If the RIDE is decent, low 50’s is fine, with me..I’ve had my share of being run over (for REAL) a couple of times, once on a scooter and once as a pedestrian standing on a sidewalk. Several reconstructive surgeries on my legs. I hate cars. Metal death boxes, in essence. Too much inertia for bird-brains to control. I do scooters. I WOULD do EUCs, but my legs and hips are wonky. I like the ability to lighten the staircase weight, by removing the battery. It helps me to traverse the 2 flights of stairs. My main scooter, these days, is my VERY OLD NanRobot D5+2.0 (and yes I’ve repaired and learned a hella lot about electronics, due to this dog). I want to upgrade to better quality, and the ability to speed OUT of an automobile induced traffic accident. My ‘Bot weighs 70 lbs with my add-ons. The Storm should be about 10 lbs heavier, sans battery. Doable..

I have hit 62 mph multiple times (on flat ground).There is also a video of rk9 rides hitting 62mph. I would say the peak is right around 62 mph probably a little more with a new battery. Also I am over 6’ and about 210lbs.

I did 54 mph flat ground being 235lbs plus with a backpack 2liter soda galon of milk and a bended front rotor/brake disk 😅 Currently looking for a good damper and new rotor
