On top of that, he's always made a point of never making an album sound the same as any previous ones. Dre made the call to shelf that. Obviously. For everyone's sake. There's many accounts from many sources of Dre stepping in to insist that he didn't bless Em inheriting the Suge beef. I even recall Dre saying something to the effect that it was his issue and concern and that had it handled because he didn't see it as a problem anymore and wasn't concerned. He was doing what he loved and making crazy money, which was the whole point of leaving Death Row. He wanted his freedom and Death Row turned into a situation that held back the music, so the only problem he had with the situation was just being there. When left, he made his peace with it. Luckily for Em, that was the case, because he had a few reasons to crash out on Suge and really start flirting heavy with that whole "be another rapper dead" concept.
