I'm really curious how your organise your library? I'm a rekordbox user myself, but looks like you have some kinda colour coding going on here in traktor?

I have the following folder layout YEAR > MONTH > SHOW Within each show playlist I have all the tracks that I discovered and want to play. I then colour code: Orange - Ambient/No beats Blue - Techno 4x4 beat Red - Peak Time/Hard Techno Green - Releases on my own labels Purple - Jungle Yellow - Deep house I dont plan out my sets, I just skim through each track to make sure the auto beat grid detection is correct and to listen to colour code it. I sort the tracks by Key so it makes it easier to create the set when Im performing live. Hope that helps

Hey, I've been absolutely loving your shows for about a year now. I have a question about your patreon. If I subscribe, can I then use the free download codes for future releases on your label, and put them in a mix I upload to soundcloud/youtube? I'm unfamiliar with copyright law for mixes, but whats your general stance on this?

Hi Matthew, the codes are sent out for each new release to active patreon subscribers. You wont get previous codes, but all future ones. (let me know if you are desperate for any previous releases and ill send them too). Its to stop people subscribing for one month and downloading the entire discography. Re copyright - the patreon subscription does not give you a license to use the music royalty free. If you added a Drift Deeper track to your KZbin video it would be content ID'd by my distributor and I would get the ad revenue from that video. Its the same thing for these shows, all ad revenue goes to the artist and labels whose tracks I've played. I dont get any ad revenue from the views on these shows. Its the main reason I've shifted away from Soundcloud and more to KZbin for the mixes because at least with KZbin, artist and labels get some sort of compensation for the listens/views on the mixes. Soundcloud does not monetise dj mixes sadly. You are welcome to play Drift Deeper tracks on your KZbin upload, and Im happy to give promos to DJ's who will publish mixes on KZbin with our music (no need t sign up to patreon) because it generates income for my label, but just be aware you'll likely never earn a penny in ad revenue from DJing on KZbin. Thats why I rely on YT memberships and patreon so much. Hope that helps
