Having visited Dubai several times, I feel Dubai is one of the best cities in the world. I have talked to locals and those in the service industries making lower income, and they all said they enjoy living there despite long hours, but they also said there are lots of activities for families whether on a tight budget or unlimited budget and everything in between.

@@jbloun911 not arguing about that, I'm just saying that. No one should be that poor in any Western country. No one should struggle to eat or pay for simple necessities like fuel. With systems in place like student loans, everyone should be able to get an education and work in a field that pays enough to live off. Not everyone needs to be crazy rich, sometimes being comfortable is enough. Any one that struggles either has something wrong with them for example an illness or an addiction or is just lazy and unambitious.
