On board Mein Schiff 2 we enjoy a cruise in the Orient at the turn of the year 2023-2024! Starting from Dubai (UAE), we visit Abu Dhabi (UAE), Khasab (Oman), Muscat (Oman), Sir Bani Yas Island (UAE) and Doha in Qatar.
In this video, we show you our GetYourGuide excursion into the desert with an overnight stay in a Bedouin tent! After picking us up, our driver takes us from Dubai out into the desert of Ras Al Khaimah, which is known for its beautiful red sand dunes. This is where we make our first stop. If you like, you can enjoy Arabic coffee, tea and dates and take a little breather from the 45-minute journey on comfortable cushions. For a fee, you can also hire a sand buggy during this time and race wildly through the dunes - which we do, of course. After this 30-minute andrenaline rush, our driver takes us out into the desert, where we drive through the dunes at high speed in a dunebashing off-road vehicle. What fun! We stop for a breather on a very high dune, from where you have a wonderful view over the vast desert. Our driver has a sandboard in his luggage for those who fancy some action. It's great fun to slide down the dunes on this sports equipment, and experts can even do it standing up. Afterwards, we have time to enjoy the sunset in the desert - a moving experience. We then continue to the desert camp, where we are welcomed with drinks and snacks before enjoying a great Arabian show on comfortable beanbags. We then treat ourselves to delicious food from an extensive buffet. After dinner, we head to a hill outside the camp, where trained astronomers have already set up telescopes to help us discover all kinds of stars in the night sky above the desert. Afterwards, we treat ourselves to a cup or two of tea and a delicious shisha on comfortable cushions by the campfire before heading to our beautifully furnished Bedouin tent in the camp for a good night's sleep. Showers and toilets are just a few metres away. In the tent, we have a large cool box with various drinks at our disposal, as well as all the necessary toiletries, towels and slippers. There are even USB charging ports, mobile air conditioning and a walkie talkie for communication with reception, that will be there for us all night. Early the next morning, we head to the large square in front of the camp, where the camels are already saddled up for our morning ride into the desert. Riding through the dunes at sunrise is a wonderful experience. Back at the camp, a delicious Arabic breakfast awaits us before our driver takes us back to Dubai. In our opinion, this excursion is a unique experience that is suitable for singles, couples and families alike and is really worth every cent.

Duschen und Toiletten sind als Einzelkabinen gebaut. Alles ist sehr sauber und hochwertig ausgeführt. Ihr bekommt sämtliche benötigten Toilettenartikel, Zahnbürsten, Zahnspasta, Handtücher und Slipper gestellt.Tine hat sich hier sehr wohl gefühlt - wir Jungs auch. Gruß Chris
