You can do each part of the facade separately, and use boolean modifier to fit out irregular shapes. Another and more reliable way will be modeling one piece as shown in the tutorial then create the facade using Railclone.

Both are good options, but I must say that in my experience I feel that AMD is a better choice for this type of work
