DUBAI Ep2 : Old Town & Zouks

Today we are back in DUBAI ! In this episode we are heading out to the old historic quarter of Dubai known as Al-Seef in search of the roots and origins of the city of Dubai.
We will also visit Dubai's traditional Zouks (Markets) where we will do a market hunt, and learn more about spices and the gold trade, and taste a few local treats along the way

Dubai is the city of many superlatives - and home to many world famous sights such as the tallest building on the planet (Burj Khalifa) and many more architectural marvels. It has been a popular tourist destination for a long time because of its beautiful natural desert & beach scenery and deep cultural history.
▶️ Following are the sneak peek of this episode:
After a quick drone flight through downtown Dubai, we will head into Dubai's historical Al-Seef quarter by the creek to go in search of Dubai's roots and origins . Dubai less than 100 years ago was no mega metropolis - but rather a small simple fishing village on the shores of the Arabian Sea.
Next we will take a traditional boat and cross the Dubai creek and head towards the two main Zouks ( the old traditional markets of Dubai) . We will visit the SPICE Zouk as well as the GOLD Zouk - and along the way sample some local specialties such a fresh pomegranate juice.
At the SPICE Zouk we will encounter plenty of hustle and bustle , and we will visit "Karimi Trade Stores" an Iranian Spice Trader in the Dubai Zouk. Here we will get an insight into the many products on sale and Mohammed will explain us more about the use of various spices and products like Saffron , Indigo and many more . Finally we will bid farewell to Dubai from one of Dubai's iconic beaches: La Mer Beach!

Nice vid! On my way to India in December I am stopping in Dubai for a 14 hour layover, I won't get to see much, I am planning to see Burj Khalifa because idk what else to see there in just 7-8 hours.

Well, taking the time into account that you will spend going through immigation , and getting back in to go through security etc, 7 hour layover is indeed short for a good Dubai excursion.
