Automatics are responsible for the movement of trains, but in which case it is possible to switch to manual mode. Each train consists of 5 cars, divided into 3 classes: "gold", "women and children" (men are not allowed) and "silver"
If you mistakenly enter a "not your" car, the controller may issue a fine of 100 AED. But, as a rule, tourists are forgiven and asked to simply transfer to the next station. It is forbidden to eat, chew gum, drink, smoke, carry alcohol in the Dubai Metro.
The "golden" class is 18 seats upholstered in leather, stylish finishes and beautiful panoramic windows. Anyone can buy a ride at the Gold fare. Women have the right to use all 5 cars, men - all except for the "women's" section. In terms of comfort, there are no serious differences, except that the “gold” is not so crowded. All carriages are air-conditioned, the temperature is maintained at +20 °C.
Working hours and intervals of movement
From Monday to Thursday - from 5-00 to 1-15;
- On Fridays and Saturdays - from 5:00 to 2:15;
Sundays from 8:00 to 1:15.
Important point!
The closing time is indicated by the arrival of the last train at the terminal stations. That is, at 01-15 or 2-15, the end stations are closed, and not the end stations are closed even earlier, when the last trains depart from them.
Train intervals do not exceed 3.5 minutes. There are also traffic delays when you have to wait 5 minutes or more.

Genau das mache ich auch immer einen Tag lang, wenn ich in Dubai bin. Allerdings mit einer Lumix in den Händen. Gibt so tolle Bilder - mit der Sonne im Rücken. Habe damals das Museum of the Future im Bau gesehen und mich gefragt, was aus dem "Ei" wohl wird. 😉
