Dubbo is under estimated all the time. Yes it has problems but has so many great cafes (Yes CSC is amazing!) and many quirky places to visit.

My condolences..... I've been in and outta the joint since the late 60s... It never really changes...just getting bigger with refugees from Sydney or surrounding small towns.. They don't last long there...

I used to chat with a girl from Dubbo on a chat site on the early 2000s. She had quite a irl unique name and now and then I wonder what happened to her. "Hello" if you had the words 'tradeplace' in your angelfire email, lol. I was 'the beer' guy on the site and am doing alright in life.
